Mega Man 2 Composer On Board for Mighty No. 9

If you haven't heard today's great news, Takeshi Tateishi, the composer of Mega Man 2, will be collaborating with Manami Matsumae and Ippo Yamada (Mega Man Zero series, Mega Man 9 and 10) to score Mighty No. 9's soundtrack. With their powers combined, we can expect some seriously awesome tunes. Thankfully a $40 pledge nabs you the entire OST!

Stay tuned for more Mighty No. 9 updates. Who knows what surprises are in store for these final hours!

  2. Excellent. It would be cool if they could get the last four original MM composers. It would be so right.

    1. Also, I don't care for Ippo's hair or his fashion sense, lol.

  3. It's hard to overstate the achievement that this project must be for Inafune. He raised 3 million in 30 days from fans for a completely new franchise, obtained a hugely active and creative fan community just from his design concepts, and assembled an all-star development team that even Americans can hype over.

And so much of this was entirely within Capcom's reach. Inafune has indirectly trampled over a big part of Capcom's market and brand, and capitalized hugely on their fan fallout with MegaMan. I don't know if Inafune has it in for Capcom after he left the company. But if he does, No.9 serves as all kinds of amazing payback : )
