Rockman 9 Is Coming!

We've received numerous rumors concerning a RM9 coming to PSN and XBLA from PRC's own "The Shadow" and guess what?... He was right!

Rockman 9 is slated to release on multiple platforms.

Rumors have indicated it will appear on both the Xbox Live Arcade and PLAYSTATION Network. Rumors have also indicated that RM9 will contain a form of online play including leader boards as well as introducing new characters.

Holy crap gentlemen, the Classic series is back.

Hopefully, "The Shadow" shall offer us some more inside info in the coming days.

  1. I'm very happy to finally hear that Rockman/ Mega Man 9 is coming finally after about 12 years. With the Bionic Commando and Street Fighter 4 revival, this is finally turning out to be great.

  4. I hope this is for real. I really do!

And just as a point of interest, http://www.gamefaqs.com/features/company/74979.html

GameFAQS notes that all of Red Ant's releases have been for the DS, Wii, PSP and PC... hope, then, that this'll be a handheld release and not a digital download?

  11. Ah right! Mega Man 9! But...No Wii? Please let it come to the Wii too. I don't have an Xbox 360 or PS3 and I can't really afford it at the moment. Better save up some money then...

  14. I feel the whole Download issue is pure bullshit and isn't gonna happen.

That page says nothing about it for downloading, and I won't believe it until I see solid proof.

  15. Shadow, I have a question. I've heard things that say that this game will only be on XBLA and PSN. Will WiiWare also serve as a host to this game? And if so, will there be any tacked-on Wiimote Wiggle gimicks?

  16. To clarify, the XBLA and PSN rumors came from a "reliable" source on Destructoid, along with PRC reader "The Shadow."

Also, the company who obtained the OFLC rating, Red Ant Enterprises, has worked on numerous Capcom XBLA titles such as Bionic Commando ReArmed, Plunder, 1942, SFII HD Remix, etc.

  18. Heard about this yesterday. Good news, though I hope they won't use the super-deformed kiddy MMPU model.

  19. This could be a mistake. I'm guessing what they are meaning is Mega man Power up. After all it does make since after what was said about it being a download for the ps3. I recall there being a post about the before mention on this blog.

  20. Look here is a little bit to chew on, don't let this get too far out cause my job could be in trouble.

The game is 8-bit style. You play as Megaman or Protoman, 2 different endings. I won't go into plot just yet, but don't expect a X crossover 100%.....
    More to come
