Rockman X DiVE – Co-Op Mode Announced!

Via Capcom's Taiwan YouTube Channel, the first Rockman X DiVE update for the week is none other than a trailer to announce the inclusion of Co-op gameplay in the game. Rockman X Dive is now the first official Mega Man game to offer traditional, same-screen co-op mutliplayer.

In the video, we can see Vile using the Rifle we saw in another video some days ago and perhaps more interestingly we can see a microphone button in the upper right corner of the screen, which suggests we might be able to chat with our Co-op partner. Also, below Vile's player icon, we can see some kind of score meter that, curiously, doesn't go up when Vile kills enemies. Perhaps it has another function?

As for the stage itself... it looks like an homage to Aeolus' stage, the Floating Ruins from Mega Man ZX Advent. What do you think? Let us know in the comments.

  1. It's looking much smoother. I am going impressed they seem to be pulling it off.

  2. I hope there is an option to turn off Gauges...
I don't need or like over the head HP gauges. They get in the way and are distracting.

  3. I will agree, it does look a lot like Aeolus' stage, just with less annoying enemies :P

Also, traditional co-op in a Mega Man X 2D platformer is NOT something I expected for a mobile game, so I'm pleasantly surprised!

    1. I thought so too until I compared them. It is definitely the same theme as Floating Ruins.

    2. That would ordinarily be out of place, but, it is possible that this area existed in the past of MMZ/MMZX.

  6. This isn’t online multiplayer but it’s still giving me heavy Rockman online Vibes

  7. I think the meter below Vile's icon is supposed to be his health value, no? Especially considering since the bar above his character model is also blue.

    1. At about 6 seconds in it looks like Vile takes a hit but the number doesn't change. I would believe that's a no unless vile has invincibility on.

  8. Neat. I wonder if the player dies if he goes off screen?
