Servbot In Lost Planet 2

Capcom recently rolled out a new trailer for Lost Planet 2, which highlights some the game's latest features. As evident at the 1:12 mark, an oversized Servbot head is just one of the many accessories players can don in the game:

The Servbots, and their likenesses, have appeared in several non-Mega Man Capcom games for quite some time, with their most popular appearances being in Dead Rising, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, and the more recent Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. I'd like to think their growth in popularity is a sign of things to come; namely a Legends series revival -- but that's merely wishful thinking at the moment.

Lost Planet 2 is releasing on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on May 11th.

  1. Ahah Frank is back too ! Seriously, Capcom put him in so much games... I hope he'll make a cameo in dead rising 2 !

  2. So far, the game looks awesome! Lol at Servbot's recent cameos, as their cute and humorous way doesn't match with Dead Rising and Lost Planet, making it a nice extra. And Frank West? "Oh my god!"

  3. Personally, I think Frank West is extremely overrated and not quite unique or funny overall. Then again, that's just me. Only cool thing about him is his X suit, lol. Couldn't Capcom have added, oh I dunno, Rad Spencer from Bionic Commando? He already comes with his very own grappling hook as well as already being acquainted with the OtS shooting style.

  4. That's cool, and kind of surprising. I went to Adult Swim's Block Party event and spoke with someone from Capcom. I asked them if Mega Man Volnutt could make it in Lost Planet 2. If I recall correctly, he said that "It would be tricky. Inafune-san doesn't like Lost Planet."

    @MegaMac

    Never thought of Rad Spencer before, but now he seems like an obvious choice. He needs to make it in! At least this time it is Frank West in his usual attire.

  5. @Anon2

    I doubt "Inafune doesn't like Lost Planet" is accurate, considering he is one of the main figures in the creation of the series.

  6. Keiji Inafune was the producer of the first Lost Planet... so then...

  7. But wait, why the hell is LP2 coming out on May 11th in America? What is with this fad where Japanese companies are releasing games in America earlier than Japan recently. Ridiculous. At least we got Peace Walker first.

  8. Wait, what do you mean, "Inafune-san doesn't like Lost Planet"?

  9. Just goes to show you that Capcom hasn't completely forgotten about Mega Man Legends.
