Rockman X DiVE Celebrates Easter with "Easter Roll"

The Easter Holiday is around the corner. And following a small event in 2020 where players had to open Easter eggs to get rewards, Capcom Taiwan is back with another one that's actually fully-loaded with an original stage and character.

Find all the details below!

Easter Roll's first active skill is Easter Egg Launch. She performs a forward dash to deal damage and summon 4 small easter eggs to automatically attack enemies.

Her second active skill is Secret Easter Egg. This skill sets up an invisible Secret Easter Egg in place which activates after coming in contact with the target.

The Easter Celebration gacha capsule features Easter Roll and an S rank saber based on Metal Shark Player's design. It will go live this Wednesday alongside the event stage "Easter Eggs Are Yours to Collect!".

This is not the first time we've seen Roll in a rabbit costume. A similar costume with the same motif appeared in 2006's Mega Man Powered Up as a free DLC costume. Perhaps the development team took some inspiration from it while adding their own spin.

Let's us now what you think in the comments!

  1. Roll in school swimsuit is wrong, but Roll in a sexy bunny cosplay is ok.... I really don't get people these days....

    1. You're literally the first comment, what are you talking about?

Also even if people don't care to complain anymore it wouldn't be hypocritical or saying whatever... that... is up there, is OK. Maybe people made their point and no longer acknowledge the creeper material anymore. Some people are just fans that voice their opinions then go on their way, not everyone is an activist.

    2. I can only assume that there's some manner of stigma attached to the schoolgirl swimsuit, since they merely reskinned the character. Personally, I find the school design inoffensive, but also boring, so I saw the redesign as a good thing done for the wrong reason.

    3. It's not so much the suit itself, but the main issue was that it's become quite a fetish in Japan, especially when it comes to loli content. Even if everyone was OK with it, the change was because the International Age Rating Coalition altered their guidelines so Taicom had no choice.

  2. Yet another banner about every character except pandora or prometheus

  3. Capcom.....what the hell do you have with giving classic roll suits that are too...sexual? I know she's a robot n stuff but she's suppose to be like a child...

And no this isn't something that x dive started (although they use it a lot and it's terrible, both for classic roll and the other oc angel boy), but rather something that has been plaguing the franchise ever since megaman 8 more or less. It's very questionable, to say the least.

    1. Whether or not shorts and a crop top under a jacket counts as sexual is really in the eye of the beholder. In my neck of the woods, I'd recommend staying away from public pools if that's your perception, but I get that different people have different standards.

Yeah, there are some questionable official Roll graphics out there, but most of them are more so the situations and camera angles than her outfit.

  4. man, I'm worried about the effect this game will have on mega man. if this is making good money, I can see capcom just making mega man games going forward to introduce characters and versions to be included into Rockman X dive.

I wonder how long until Xover is included in X dive

    1. We have until the announcement of Rockman Taisen, if that ends up being a bullcrap liveservice/mobile game, then I'm just dropping out of the franchise.

    3. @Gary,

Humans, in general, aren't more like Ferengi (greedy). They are becoming more like Idiocracy (stupid).

As far as "Taisen" goes, I thoroughly expect to be 100% disappointed. And I still think it was cancelled. This is all hypothetical, mind you. But it does not take this long to make ONE Mega Man game, not from Capcom, who are the MASTERS at it. They are/were doing something new and artsy. Something that has nothing to do with the Mega Man game play we appreciate at all. And I am betting pizza that it will be/was some kind of cash in attempt on Fortnite, League of Legends or some other genre they think they can milk, rather than just doing what we asked and giving us a side scrolling platformer...
      That's my guess.

    4. Considering Capcom LOVES fighting games,i bet rockman taisen is like, a megaman-only fighting game with all the characters from all incarnations.

    6. Based on the information provided at the time - both the leaked Capcom release calendar and the nVidia GeForce listings - the expectation was (and remains until Capcom says so) a late 2022 release. The leaked release calandar was PRE-COVID, so it could very well be delayed. Even so, we know Capcom are preparing their 35th anniversary slate. I think it's safe to assume, at this point in time, we'll learn more about Taisen when that commences.

    7. People not getting the memo that BN and SF (and even Legends) are "proper MM" 20 years later... bruh.

    8. People thinking BN and SF are proper MM for 20 years... Bruh.

    9. Shrap, I know you blame BN for Fully Charged, but post-SF, none of the weirder off-shoots have been successful. That's the good part.

  6. Okay. This? This right here. This is cool. They could've gone "full sex-appeal", but instead, they gave her some style by adding some high-school stuff to her old outfit and replaced the leggings with those puffy socks Japanese schoolgirls (used to?) wear.

I really-really like this skin. And if I were still playing, I might actually go out of my way to pay my way to get it. It's so cool, stylish, and cute!

Wish she still had her hammer, but maybe that'll be a buyable "joke" weapon, later on.
