Leaked Images of TruForce's "Armored" Mega Man X

A pair of images have come to light exposing TruForce's upcoming "armored" Mega Man X figure. As anticipated it, it's not a new mold but a recolor of the existing figure. At first glance it doesn't look to be based on one particular armor. Rather, a mixture of Second and Blade armor's primary colors. I fully expect TruForce will bill this an a "new armor."

TruForce is expected to unveil the figure officially in the coming weeks leading up to Comic-Con. Stay tuned for further details!

  1. Same mold or not, it still looks great. I'd go as far as to say that the first release should have been this. A true, unique "Ver.ke" armor.

  2. It looks like it takes most of its inspiration from the First Armor. While I would've preferred new molds and for it to be distributed more widely, the color palette does look very nice on the model.

  3. As others have said, it's a bit disappointing that it is just a third recolor, but I'll be damned if it isn't a beautiful looking one.

  5. This is the best recolour of the mold that they've done. Unlike the grey and black ones, this one looks great. Pink charge shot looks good too.

  6. Want it...but cant be bothered with the mark ups and mess around to get it.

  7. Couldn't they have at least made a new helmet and buster specifically for this figure to differentiate it from the regular x figure?

  8. It looks nice, but I dunno.

I'm already more than content and satisfied with the original version, cause that's all I really wanted. X-Kai was cool, too, but it kinda just felt unnecessary and didn't have a "recognizable" look to it for displaying and such. And this one just gives off a weird "Is that supposed to be First/Second Armor but someone fucked it up halfway?" vibe.

I feel like they should stop making X variants and move on to a different character.
As much as I dislike the idea of him having yet another figure, I'd rather them even make a TruForce Zero. (Though TruForce Black Ace or Red Joker would be the bee's knees)

  10. While it does look pretty sick, I'm not gonna spend that kind of money on a recolor.

Man I really want someone to do X2's Giga amor.

  11. LOL!!!!! Why are so many disappointed that its a recolor. Its SDCC people!!!!! SDCC is known for variants!!!!! If they added new parts, redid this or redid that for just a con for a few days it would be a waste of funds, and worse if it doesn't sell well they'll be losing funds. The safe path is a recolor, as many other companies does as well. Its not surprising, its for SDCC after all.
