Familiar Mega Man Faces Appear in Dead Rising 4 (Updated)

Following in true Dead Rising tradition, the fourth entry in the series looks to include a few Mega Man nods. No sign of the iconic Mega Man X costume yet, but a good sign of things to come...

Check out a pair of leaked screens! Looming above Frank West, an enormous Zero-like statue and Servbots on display:

UPDATE: Oh man:

Various UDON artbooks strewn about an office floor; a copy MM25 lays discarded:

That's all... for now. Stay tuned!

    1. But they've done this forever. Even when there were games...

    2. All Dead Rising games have had MM items since the first one, because it was originally designed by Inafune.

    3. Dead Rising 4 actually looks amazing, and like the others said, they've always done this.

Hell, Dead Rising 2: Off the Record had fat Proto Man (if you put on the costume as Frank).
I don't like how Capcom handles Mega Man, but this is harmless.

    4. Dead Rising 1 had a X costume
The Wii port Chop Till You Drop added a Roll Caskett costume
Dead Rising 2 had a Proto Man costume
The extra DLC story to DR2, Case: West had a Dr. Wily costume
Dead Rising 3 had X's First Armor as a costume
DR3 had a DLC called "Super Ultra Dead Rising 3' Arcade Remix Hyper Edition EX + α" where you could wear a Sigma costume
Having a Zero costume for Dead Rising 4 is just keeping with tradition at this point of a Mega Man character as a costume.

  3. So, Zero is going to be the new unlockable Mega Man costume? (hopefully with the Z-Saber included)

  4. I can actually see this as a real attempt to approximate the Z-Sabre. Without any combat arts or it's never just a straight laser beam, it always has a curve to it.

  5. Eww... Ugly. Sighing.

  6. Zero's been in retirement for some time... clearly he put on a few pounds in that time!

Now to see how many people take this as Capcom insulting Mega Man fans.

    1. All you need to do is look at so many of the comments above yours. It's already started (of course).

      *le sigh*

    2. Yeah man "of course", those whole 2 comments.

      The drama around here.

  7. Not going to lie. That's...not a bad-look persay for a bulky mech-like thing that looked like Zero.

    1. That's pretty much what it is but you got people in here thinking it was ever suppose to be a 1.1 representation of the character and more than just a reference.

  8. Speaking of E3, that new Mega Man series starts next year, right?

Should we expect to see something about it at next E3?

    1. I hope so! They need to bring new Mega Man series or Megaman 11 or Megaman X9 or something like that to PS4, XBOX one and NX.

    2. Kind of doubt it myself.

Capcom isn't great at giving the series exposure.

    3. Maybe Megaman11 could be SfXMM2 lol.
If Zero costume had a great design in this dead rising, i could say nothing, but look how ridiculous He is....its awful, a real bad joke.

  9. Sure, DON'T make a new Mega Man game, but instead, use Mega Man in Crossovers, Cameos, and Merchandise...
