TruForce Teases New Mega Man X Figure (Update)

This lone image appear on TruForce Collectable's Facebook page today with the caption, "A new armor has emerged...let's get a boost of power!" So yeah; it would appear they're working on an armor-clad Mega Man X figure. The colors here are throwing me off a bit. I want to say it's the First Armor... but then there's bits of Falcon and Fourth in there.

I suppose well just have to wait and see for the full reveal. Stay tuned!

UPDATE: If this San Diego Comic-Con leak is to be believed, we're looking at a recolor. It's not a new mold, unfortunately.

  4. Something told me they were going to do a Armored X sometime later, But I didn't know they were going to do it this early.

  5. Is that new mold, or just a new colouration? I can't quite tell from this alone.

  6. Umm... It looks like just a re-color. Don't get your hopes up for a new mold.
I love the first figure. Got all 3 still in the box.
It bothers me that the communication on the KS page seems lacking AND their own webpage is laughably basic, showing only the prototype. It hasn't changed since before the KS.

    1. Sadly you're probably right it does in fact look like just another re-color.

In which case, I'll pass, these are too expensive for a mere re-color.

    2. The nonsense with the kickstarter is what makes me hesitant to even buy the product as a non-backer. I've seen too many people who should know better exploiting the trust of their fans. :/

  7. LOL! Figured TruForce would say something now as it was already leaked about it. Its more like the Full Armor as the blast effect will be in pink according to the leaked picture(s). But its just a recolor, AGAIN! They REALLY are just milking the s*** out the figure/mold now. But in this case it fits as its SDCC, which is mostly known for recolor/variants, so it works I guess. I just wonder how they will F up this time since they F'ed up the KS and then the/at NYCC. LOL!

    1. They delivered a kick ass figure... I would politely argue they didn't screw up to much.
They produced a good product and hopefully their decisions will lead to new products down the road.
They did, in no way, screw up on an Inafune or Capcom level. In my opinion, only.
The whole SDCC thing didn't bother me. I was able to order said figure, and I am quite please with what I got.

    3. They don't have to offer it to the backers. The rest is semantics.
The kickstarter is long over, and the content has been delivered, be it Sentinal, Truforce of FedEx.
I am sure they will offer some sort of purchase option. I am not worried about that. But they do not have to do that at all at this stage of the game.

  8. Looks like it might be their take on the X2 armor. Color me excited.

  9. As for that leaked image...another color helmet as well as recolor of the 25th Anniversary Statue? Color me recolored.

  10. Coolio, but if it's truly just a recolor, then I'll gladly stick with X-Kai.

  11. If they do a different helmet and slightly different boots and buster, then this could be a little better than a recolor.

  12. Used to work for them. Trust me, they just want to take your money and laugh about it. It's Wolf of Wall Street behind closed doors.

  13. Incidentally, Sentinel developed this mold, but Truforce owns the rights to this, and only this figure. Sentinel (having originally split from Goodsmile as a factory that wanted to make their own toys) was extremely hesitant to create figures for a separate company again (tooling, design, everything under another company's name). However, they were convinced on this project with a hopes of partnering with Bluefin for their distribution. I am not aware of the current relationship, but it would seem Sentinel is taking Megaman back through an excellent partnership with Capcom, and Bluefin/Truforce is simply left with this mold, without wanting to venture further into new characters.

    1. I just would like Sentinal, Bandai or TruForce to release some different characters that HAVEN'T been made over and over. Like Alia, Iris or Dr. Light.
And if they could agree on a scale, then they can compete and we could build a collection of figures that are the same size. That would be cool. It will never happen. But I can still wish.

    2. What you don't get is that companies don't do absolute characters because they won't sell, as so its the company that looses money. So they play it safe and do characters that they know will sell. But if you want these characters you have speak with your wallet and not words, put your money where your mouth is. But a lot of people talk and talk, but don't back their own words by buying.
