Hiya Toys Max Armor X Pre-Orders Now Available

Hot on the heels of its San Diego Comic-Con reveal, Hiya Toys has released full-color stock images of Max Armor X and opened pre-orders. Talk about a fast turnaround!

Due to ship in Q3 2027, Max Armor X stands approximately 14.7 cm tall and faithfully recreates the fan-favorite armor from Mega Man X3. The figure includes three interchangeable faceplates, six hand parts, an interchangeable X-Buster, two effect parts and a Z-Saber.

In typical Hiya Toys fashion, the figure also comes with a separate magnetic Hiya badge that interacts with the X-Buster. Bringing the badge close activates three lighting modes: flashing, breathing and steady. Together, they recreate the effect of X charging his weapon before firing.

Pre-orders are currently available directly through Hiya Toys and Big Bad Toystore.

It’s Preview Night at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, and we have our first look at three brand-new figures from Hiya Toys: MegaMan.EXE, classic series Mega Man, and Third Armor X. 

Hiya Toys Ultimate Armor X Revealed, Coming Q3 2027

Hiya Toys has unveiled the next figure in its Mega Man X Exquisite Basic series: Ultimate Armor X. Better yet, pre-orders are already open at Big Bad Toy Store, with the figure expected to ship in Q3 2027.

That may still be a ways off, but Hiya Toys has released plenty of images to tide us over until then.

MDLX Black Zero Revealed, ACGHK and ChinaJoy 2026 Exclusive

Threezero has announced an MDLX Black Zero figure, but much to the disappointment of many collectors, its release will be extremely limited.

According to Threezero, the figure will be available in limited quantities at ACGHK 2026 and ChinaJoy 2026 on a first-come, first-served basis. At this time, there are no plans for a wider release, nor any indication that the figure will appear at events more accessible to fans in other regions.

Accessories include a Black Zero Buster forearm, two interchangeable faceplates and three pairs of interchangeable hands. Alongside his signature Z-Saber, Mega Man X5-style blades and Z-Saber effect part, the set also includes two blades based on Zero’s appearance in Mega Man X6.

Mega Man X #5 San Diego Comic-Con Exclusive Variant Revealed

Heading to Comic-Con later this month? Be sure to stop by Udon Entertainment’s booth (#100) to pick up an exclusive Mega Man X #5 variant cover.

Dubbed “Family Hadoken,” the cover pays loving tribute to Akira Toriyama with X, Dr. Light, and Ryu recreating the iconic Family Kamehameha pose. The artwork is illustrated by Jeffrey “Chamba” Cruz.

The variant will be available for $20 while supplies last.

Kotobukiya Zero 1st Ver. Limited Edition Revealed (Updated)

Kotobukiya is bringing back Zero 1st Version with a fresh coat of paint — literally.

This new Limited Edition release swaps the original colors for pearlescent and metallic finishes, recreating Zero’s charged-up appearance. To complete the look, the kit also includes an all-new Spiral Crush Buster effect part, which Kotobukiya touts as the largest effect part in its Mega Man X model kit lineup to date.

That’s not all. The included face parts feature newly adjusted eye directions, offering a little more variety for posing. The leg joints have also been updated, with two sets included in the box. These can be used to upgrade Mega Man X Zero, Zero Nightmare Ver., and Black Zero kits.

Zero 1st Version Limited Edition is expected to ship in January 2027. Pre-orders are currently available directly from Kotobukiya, with additional retailers likely to follow soon. UPDATE: Big Bad Toystore pre-orders are open!

Hiya Toys Wants Your Pick for Its Next High-End Mega Man Figure

Hiya Toys is asking Mega Man fans who they’d like to see join the company’s figure lineup next.

A new survey is now live, letting fans vote for their most-wanted character from across the franchise. The current choices include characters from the classic, Mega Man Zero, Mega Man X, and Battle Network series. Every one who votes gets entered into a raffile to win a Exquisite Series X figure.

New Images of Hiya Toys Sigma, Coming Q3 2027

We first saw a prototype of Hiya Toys' Exquisite Basic Series Sigma a while back, and now we have our first proper look at the final figure.

Based on Sigma’s appearance in the original Mega Man X, the figure stands approximately 18cm tall and features his familiar green shoulder and chest armor, red chest gem, silver spiked wristbands, and knee guards. It also includes a real fabric red cape, along with replacement back armor parts that allow for both caped and uncaped display options.

Accessories include three interchangeable face parts, two interchangeable shoulder armor parts, three pairs of hands, a saber grip, a belt-mounted saber holder, and two illuminated saber effect parts. The figure also features magnetic soles for added stability when displayed on metal surfaces.

The Lost Lore of Mega Man X's Armors

The Mega Man X series is packed with fun, interesting details that are easy to miss the first time around. Some are hidden in character relationships, like Boomer Kuwanger and Gravity Beetle being siblings. Others come from minor characters who appear briefly but become fan favorites, like Green Biker Dude. And then there are the lingering mysteries, including one big question: what happens to X’s Armors after each game?

Today, I’m excited to share what might be my favorite piece of hidden lore in the series: the Armors from the first four X games may have actually been the same Armor all along. It sounds wild, but according to some old sources, that appears to be the case.

Exploring Mega Man X7's Unused Areas

In January 2025, I released dumps of two pre-release builds of Mega Man X7: the E3 2003 Special Edition and a U.S. press event disc. Both builds already had their share of differences from the final game, including X being fully playable in the intro stage. But only now are we learning that there’s even more unused content hiding in the code.

New X, Zero, Proto Man, and Dr. Wily Funko Pops Revealed

While they may not be everyone’s cup of tea, Mega Man Funko Pops are back on the menu.

Funko is adding four new Mega Man figures to its lineup: X, Zero, Proto Man, and Dr. Wily. The wave pulls from both the classic and X series, with Wily making for an especially fitting addition alongside our heroes. His new figure is a pretty big glow-up from the original version released way back when. Proto Man's upgrade isn't too shabby either.

The new Pops are set to go up for pre-order on Wednesday, May 27 at 9:00 AM PT. Pricing, retailers, and release timing haven’t been announced yet, but we’ll keep you posted as those details come in.

Udon's Mega Man X Comics Will Now Release Digitally Same Day as Print

Earlier this year, Neon Ichiban partnered with Udon Entertainment to distribute Mega Man comics digitally, with new issues originally planned to arrive one month after their print release. Starting this week, though, that rollout strategy is changing for the better.

Neon Ichiban has confirmed that, beginning with Mega Man X #3, Udon's Mega Man X comics will now launch on the platform on the same day as their print release. According to Neon Ichiban, the update came after some successful "sweet talk" with Udon. As of today, both Mega Man X #3 and Mega Man X #2 are available on the platform.

Whether this new arrangement will carry over to future Mega Man comics remains to be seen, but for now, it's definitely a win.

Another Look at Kotobukiya Decoction Fourth Armor X

Back in February, Kotobukiya finally pulled back the curtain on the mysterious silhouette that had been teasing fans for the past couple of years. In a reveal few saw coming, the company unveiled a brand-new, large-scale Fourth Armor X kit for its premium Decoction line. 

Now, to coincide with the Shizuoka Hobby Show, Kotobukiya has shared two crisp high-resolution images of the prototype mold, giving us a better look at the kit. That said, finer details like pricing and a release window are still being kept under wraps.

Review: Kotobukiya Zero (1st Ver.)

Kotobukiya's newest release is finally here, and this time, it's Zero. But this isn't just any Zero. This is the one that started it all! Mega Man Xtreme Gets Enhanced Fan-Remake for PC

While Mega Man Xtreme still hasn’t received a proper modern port through a Legacy Collection, fans of the Game Boy Color title now have something pretty close to celebrate.

Tommycase has released Mega Man DXtreme, an enhanced PC revamp of Mega Man Xtreme by CX2 Team with improved controls, widescreen support, a reimagined story, new graphics, and several other upgrades. You can see it in action in the trailer above!

You can download the full game from Tommycase’s itch.io page here. A browser version is also available.

Rare Rockman X3 Book Scanned, Artwork Preserved

In 1996, Capcom and Nagaoka Shoten published a Rockman X3 pop-up book exclusively in Japan, adapting the game into a hands-on craft book where young readers could assemble scenes from the game.

While a neat collectible in its own right, the book has long been sought after by fans because it contains original cel-painted artwork not seen in any other X3 media. It also hasn’t been reprinted anywhere else.

Now, for the first time, the book’s contents have been preserved thanks to Epsilon1234. All 48 pages, along with the accompanying artwork, can be viewed on the Internet Archive across two uploads: scans of the 21 artwork pages and photographs of the full book, including the non-art pages.

And if you have a high-quality printer, you could even try printing the individual pages and assembling the dioramas yourself. If not, there’s still plenty of great pieces here to enjoy.

Blokees Teases Mega Man X Figures

The previously announced Mega Man Star Force and Mega Man Zero Blokees made another appearance at the 2026 BLOKEES Global Partners Conference. While no new information was shared on either figure, Blokees also casually confirmed that Mega Man X Blokees are in production, with the series logo and a simple “coming soon” displayed at the event.

No other details were revealed, so here’s hoping we won’t have to wait too long to hear more.

Mega Man X: Viral Nightmare (X6 Fan Remake) Demo Now Available

In case you missed it, the first batch demo of Mega Man X: Viral Nightmare is now available to download from SFGHQ. 

Developed by Cat Yard Games, Viral Nightmare is a reworked and reimagined take on Mega Man X6 that significantly enhances and expands the original game. It introduces a fully overhauled Nightmare Soul system, mix-and-match Armor parts, redesigned stages (with Blaze Heatnix’s stage standing out as an big improvement -- seriously), new story elements, and more.

The Batch 1 demo features five playable stages, four Armor Parts to collect, and 17 swappable parts to experiment with. There's enough content here to get a feel for the concept, which feels genuinely promising. Even if you’re perfectly happy with X6 as it is, this is absolutely worth checking out.

Quick heads up: if you’re planning to use a controller, make sure to launch the demo directly from your Steam Library. There’s currently a small issue where the controller won’t be detected if you run the standalone executable. Beyond that, enjoy!
