Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection is Now Available!

It's time to dash into action -- Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection is here! The collection is officially available now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

For the uninitiated, this collection includes Mega Man Zero 1-4, Mega Man ZX, Mega Man ZX Advent and an handful of features and bonus content for newcomers and veteran fans. The brand-new, competative AGDQ-inspired "Z-Chaser" Mode will have old-timers racing against the clock to light up leader boards. For newcomers, there's the tried-and-true "Casual Scenario Mode" which reduces each game's difficulty to a breeze. Additionally, the new Save Assist function preserves your progress and a number of filters and screen orientation options for ZX/ZXA. And finally, the Art Gallery houses a whopping 650 individual pieces of production and concept art from all six games.

Rockman Corner's full review of Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection is coming up later this weekend. In the meantime, you can scope out our impression's of the game's gallery mode here.

Enjoy, everyone!

  1. I already have all the games in this collection, but being able to play them on my TV and with ZXA's updated audio for the cutscenes is a BIG plus for me. Definitely scooping this up on Switch so I can enjoy it handheld, too.

  3. Even tho the PC requirements are absurd for such low spec games I'll be getting it there since it is by far the most open platform that will likely never be obsolete and allow me to play any damn way I want on many different devices.

Otherwise I'd maybe support the PS4 version cause I can't stand Nintendo as a corporation (which is not to say as a game developer, for the uninitiated) and Microsoft is shady as all hell.

    1. For my part, I will support the switch version (just don't care about everything with the name Xbox on it) and I cannot support Sony, a company which has stolen to gain popularity and which uses money (instead of in-house talent) to buy creativity

    2. Whatever, at least Sony doesn't outright back stab its partners, is respectful enough to its fans that they don't pursue legal action against them at every turn even when they are proven to not infringe on Nintendo's market or resources and follow normal conduct (like video walkthroughs) every other game company not only allows but embraces. At least Sony, does't keep its games and DLC at full price with exception to a special category specifically made for select games that go on a specific discount price, even after the game has a successor that is superior to it in every way on a successor console. At least Sony does't force you to buy the same damn decade+ old games on its digital marketplace for every single console they put out over and over again, only to discontinue a marketplace here and there, thus artificially resetting the value of said reused decade+ old games or new ones based on the fact that they are gone indefinitely from there. At least Sony doesn't force charge you for shoddy bare bones online then have first party games charge you a subscription fee for cloud storage on top of it, even though Sony as a whole is substantially less wealthy than Nintendo. Is Sony perfect? No. But in my eyes they are infinitely superior to Nintendo in terms of business practice, ethics toward consumers and such.

As for "stolen", Nintendo is credited for a bunch of things it didn't innovate, from touch screen gaming devices, to tablets with detachable gaming controllers on the sides and an hdmi output compatible mode, to the freaken D-Pad. Not only this but you say Sony only uses money to buy talent, first off they've helped a lot of now legends in gaming get a start by doing this as well as encouraging indie devs, however even on your terms Nintendo is no better. Both have great internal talent Sony has SIEJ, Naughty Dog, Insomniac Games etc responsible for great games such as Ratchet&Clank, God of War, Shadow of the Colossus, Uncharted and such all of which were first or second party developers since the first quarter of the PS brand being active. Obviously Nintendo produced some of if not the greatest collective of game developing masterminds to every grace the industry, but to say they don't buy up talent is absurd. Not only do they do this but they do it and don't even cultivate them, they just become b grade lackeys. Brownie Brown bought and turned into a debugging wing for Mario, Zelda and fit games, lost all its identity and aspirations. Monolith Soft, Retro Studios, and many more on retainer including but not limited to everyone's favorite Game Freak ( < I'd only call these guys talents in the sense that their one idea prints money).

  5. Anyone pre-order this physical from Best Buy? How do you get the remixes? There's no code in the box, and they don't give receipts for pickups. Tried looking up the order online, but can't find any info there either...

    1. Just call them and ask them for the code. It always works.

    2. I called twice. One guy said it should already be in the game. After I made sure this was not the case I called again and was told they could not do anything.
