Rockman X Mobile Released In Korea

Reader JinRo sends word that a mobile phone port of the original Rockman X is now available in Korea, distributed exclusively through Com2Us. The game is a complete port of the original with all stages, music and sound effects intact. Aside from a few minor graphical alterations, it's the same game we all know and love.

For those interested, you can check out the game's trailer below, which features gameplay clips spliced together with footage from The Day of Sigma:

Can't see the video? Let me know in the comments! The embed code for this one is a bit wonky so if need be, I'll try provide a YouTube version.

UPDATE: YouTube version added. Thanks, Shin Star!

Well, I'm trying to nab it, but my usual methods aren't working out. Anyone who can see it and has the ability to nab flash, a YouTube version would be appreciated.

  5. Also works for me, but I also have no idea how to nab it for YouTube.

I think you guys might need the latest version of Flash in order to see it. Can't think of any other reason why it wouldn't work.

  9. Huh... A new dialogue box? That's the only change I saw.

I'm still waiting for a VC release, myself.

  10. I dunno, I never really understood the point of putting such action-heavy games on cell-phones.

Whether it be the touch-screen of the iPhone/iPod/iPad, or just plain old keys on a cell-phone, it just feels overall awkward to play in my opinion.

It's like, the amount of time it'd take me to get as good as I am with a Rockman game, but on a cell, I could just GET BETTER in the regular controller/portable versions.

IMO, cellphone games are best when they're more simple-controlled games. Like puzzle games, RPGs, etc.

  11. Does anyone else think that the song in that trailer sounds suspiciously similar to the Death Ruins song from Shadow the Hedgehog?

Skip to about 0:45, and you'll see what I mean.

  12. Oh Capcom of Korea. You assholes and your ways of never releasing anything except for the occasional DMC, then letting third parties port everything to cell phones regardless of the consoles they were meant for.
