Rockman 35th Anniversary Logo, First Collab Revealed

We are quickly approaching the Mega Man series' 35th anniversary (December 17, 2022). And today marks the beginning of - what we hope will be - a noteworthy celebration with the unveiling of the anniversary logo and first collaborative product.

Find all the details after the break!

The 35th Anniversary collaborations kick off with a commemorative T-Shirt by military clothing brand "AVIREX". They're also selling a tee to commemorate Street Fighter's 35th anniversary too.

The shirt is scheduled to be released this winter for 6,490 Yen (roughly $45 or 45€) and will be available in multiple sizes, from M to 2XL and in black or white color. The overall design is retro themed, sporting sprites of Mega Man, Proto Man, an E-Tank and a Mettaur on the front. The back is decorated with an 8-bit rendition of the AVIREX logo and the Rockman 35th Anniversary logo.

Although the shirt is sold from a Japanese online store, they offer international shipping. Hit this link if you wish to preorder!

Next we have the Rockman 35th Anniversary logo itself, which is featured in one of the store banners. Capcom opted for a retro, minimalist design this time. It's quite the contrast from what they did for the 30th Anniversary.

Bellow you can check all the anniversary logos to compare. Let us know what you think in the comments!

  1. Didn't even use the helmet this time? Kind of lacking, imo.

  2. I'd be amazed if Capcom does ANYTHING video game related with his anniversary this time around.

    1. At the last one, we got MegaMan 11. Given that it and the various Legacy Collections are selling well, MegaMan 12 and X9 could be in the cards

    2. X9 would be great! 12? I honestly hope we don't get much from Classic for a good while. Let's let other series have
more of a chance to breathe in some life again.

    4. Mega Man is far for being in the same situation as Castlevania, though. sure the last new game was a while ago, butr the franchise in general is definitely active.

    5. Castlevania at least has the Netflix series.

    6. Netflix Castlevania: a series so good I dropped it at season 2.

    7. If it was so good, why did you drop it after Season 2?

    8. You got 7 episodes of vampire politicking and a terrible Dracula then one episode of what the entire show should have been. It looked good. But thats all.

  3. That may be the laziest – or at least most misguided – attempt as a promotional shirt I have ever seen. Unless the goal was to promote the shirt's brand over the game's brand. In which case, job well done.

  4. THAT's their logo this time? It is VERY lacking. Barely any images. It's just strait up text I honestly have seen way better Mega Man Anniversary logos, and this time..... I don't think they even bothered trying..

    1. Its a symptom of a huge problem across many industries. Lack of talent. Lack of original ideas. Lack of true creativity without revisiting a well and desecrating its waters. And thats in comics, games, movies: The works. Across what seems like hundreds of properties.

Glad people are starting to notice.

    3. I'm pretty sure this is a delibarate marketing choice, not a matter of not trying or lacking talent. Without getting into the minutes details of why buisnesses do this, theses kind of minimalistic logo design with little to no details or fancy effects are becoming the norm nowadays. it's called "blanding".
I personally don't particularly like theses type of logos, but that's not a matter of lazyness.

    4. Blanding, huh? Sounds like the embracing of the degredation of the brand I've been talking about. Truely a genius move by the truely talented.

  5. Alright, if there's any year for Rockman Taisen to finally announce its existence, it's this upcoming one.

  6. It looks alright, would've looked much better if Mega Man's helmet was on it.

  7. I'm trying to keep my mind open if Taisen does get announced...but honestly, all I care for is sequels
to sub-series games that still feel unresolved (X, ZX...LEGENDS!). Sorry if it's become a broken horn
at this point, but it's what the majority of fans I feel are still asking for to this day.

  8. That anniversary logo looks ugly, the older designs were better.

  9. Why does the logo look so bland?? They didn't even bother trying

  10. "We've heard the fans' voices loud and clear! That's why, for the 35th Anniversary, we're proud to announce that we'll be releasing a long-awaited sequel:

    Rockman Xover 2!"
