TruForce Reveals SDCC Exclusive "X-Boost" Figure

We finally have our first good look at TruForce's newest Mega Man X variant, dubbed "X-Boost."

PSA: "Mega Man Zero Burst" is Not a New Game

My inbox has seen a string of tips about "Mega Man Zero Burst", a title purportedly outed by the OFLC. Unfortunately I bring bubble-bursting bad news: it's not a new Zero title. No, no; not in the slightest.

Leaked Images of TruForce's "Armored" Mega Man X

A pair of images have come to light exposing TruForce's upcoming "armored" Mega Man X figure. As anticipated it, it's not a new mold but a recolor of the existing figure. At first glance it doesn't look to be based on one particular armor. Rather, a mixture of Second and Blade armor's primary colors. I fully expect TruForce will bill this an a "new armor."

TruForce is expected to unveil the figure officially in the coming weeks leading up to Comic-Con. Stay tuned for further details!

Keiji Inafune: "I Own All the Problems That Came With [Mighty No. 9]"

The saga of Mighty No. 9, Comcept's long-awaited spiritual Mega Man successor, has been one rife with difficulties and frustration. However, amid the game's launch, Keiji Inafune didn't shy away from the criticism: he freely admitting these problems were all on him.

Mighty No. 9 Now Available in North America and Asia (Updated)

It's been a long time coming but Mighty No. 9 is officially out the gate. Backer keys are purportedly being prepped for distribution soon. If you opted for a PC key, you can redeem it by logging onto Humble Bundle with your Kickstarter e-mail address. If that doesn't work refer to this support page.

I gotta say, its really sucks that backers did not receive the same "early access" privileges as reviewers, YouTubers and Twitch streamers (who've been playing it as early as last week). It's a crappy move that further cements the campaign's incompetence and misguided management. I sincerely hope you all get your money's worth soon.

No word yet about those physical rewards, by the way. I'll do my best to keep this post up-to-date with more information. For everyone else whose not a backer, do enjoy.

UPDATE: Comcept informed backers this morning that anyone who requested a code for the Xbox 360 version will have to wait a bit longer. That version has to be resubmitted to Microsoft due to a bug. As compensation, these backers will receive a Steam key.

Additionally, the Mac and Linux versions are no *quite* done yet. They're currently undergoing testing and should be ready in a few days,

UPDATE 2: Be aware some Steam DLC keys going out are duplicates of one another. I have at least two reports of users receiving two Ray DLC codes instead of a Retro DLC code. If that's you, contact Mightyno9@comcept.jp

UPDATE 3: A patch for the Wii U version will be pushed out later today.

Rockman & Forte: Challenger From the Future English Translation Patch Released

It's been a long time coming, but a one NikcDC has released a fully translated patch for Rockman & Forte: Challenger From the Future. With the help of this bite-sized 12.7KB patch, you'll be able to experience this obscure sequel in English for the first time! Grab it here!

It's worth mentioning NikcDC took the time to re-do the title screen with the official Mega Man & Bass logo. Rockman and Forte's names have also been "localized" to Mega Man and Bass for consistency. If that doesn't sit well with you, NikcDC is considering a "Rockman & Forte" version, too.

TruForce Teases New Mega Man X Figure (Update)

This lone image appear on TruForce Collectable's Facebook page today with the caption, "A new armor has emerged...let's get a boost of power!" So yeah; it would appear they're working on an armor-clad Mega Man X figure. The colors here are throwing me off a bit. I want to say it's the First Armor... but then there's bits of Falcon and Fourth in there.

I suppose well just have to wait and see for the full reveal. Stay tuned!

UPDATE: If this San Diego Comic-Con leak is to be believed, we're looking at a recolor. It's not a new mold, unfortunately.

MT Framework Mega Man Revisited

Some of you may remember this image from seven years ago. These are two Capcom Japan engineers posing with the company's propriety MT Framework 2.0 tool-set. What's always been of interest to us, though, is the fully rendered Mega Man hiding behind the software's interface. The implications sparked immediate speculation.

When asked about the image, then-Capcom US Senior VP Christian Svensson said "as far as I'm aware, that's just some dude's desktop. There has never been an HD MT Framework MM game in development."

Svensson's statement made four years ago is only half true, though: that's not some dude's desktop.
