So, How About Rockman Xover on Android?

So yeah, Rockman Xover. It's a social RPG coming to iOS later this year. That's all well and good, but what about Android users? Will they get in on the social Blue Bomber action, too?

"I'm not aware of it coming to any other OSes at this time, however me not being aware of it doesn't mean it's not (I'm a bit out of the loop on the latest mobile happenings)," replied Christan Svensson when asked about the possibility of an Android version.

"We've not yet provided any major details of this game's Western release plan yet (other than the fact it's coming Westward) and I'd imagine at some point we'll be able to provide more visibility when we've got all of the necessary information."

Rockman Xover is expected to make its first public appearance at the Tokyo Game Show coming up next week. Stay tuned for the inevitable information overload!

  1. Still waiting to see some BN/SF/ZX/Legends action from the game. It'll be how those series are handled that decides if I buy it or not.

  2. As unimpressed with Xover as I am, I hope they do port it to other OSes.

  3. Well, I'm really looking forward to it.

Maverick-jin8, I wouldn't hold your breath too much for the other stuff. I imagine they won't be really too visible for a while. I'm willing to bet my buster they will be IAP and probably not available right away.

I can't wait to get my hands on this game for something new and Mega Man. The whole Xover part thrills me the least, but hey, as long as I can jump and shoot, who cares.

I'm also anxious to see what other big Mega Man project will be announced this year for the 25th! Better be something spectacular!

  4. Eh, I could personally care less about Xover, but I agree that it would be nice to have it on other OSes as well for those who do want to play it.

  5. I would like to play this game, but I still don't get it that why is it have to be on Apple stuffs? 3DS or PSP wasn't even enough? Hell, Capcom really became cheap...

I'll be honest - I really love the concept behind the game, but... unless they drastically change the control interface to work more like The World Ends With You than iOS' version of MMX, then I don't see any point in wasting money on this.

Simply put, certain control schemes are better suited to certain devices, and a button scheme makes absolutely no sense for a touch-only device... If they were to make an overhauled version for, say, the Vita or 3DS, I'd be all over it, but unless we get some intuitive controls, I'm not even gonna bother.

  7. My expectations for Xover are pretty low, but I'll wait for video confirmation of gameplay before I finalize my decision.

I really want this game to be decent ("great" or "amazing" are probably unrealistic, given the platform's limitations), but "AUTOPLAY" and "SKIP" really don't do much for my confidence in this game.

  8. Android is superior, but I don't really care for Xover...

  9. tbh I wouldn't give a shit if Xover came out on Android devices or not because I don't own one.

  10. Xover for Android is a bad idea, it should be released for Repliroid. It's much better! :P And also for Biometal, Reaverbot and PET! iPETOS and PETroid? XD

Can't say much of the game, but I THINK it will be better than a Game & Watch game...

  11. @Zerker: Okay so you don't own an Andriod device then.

Who the fuck cares? Jesus Christ your attitude is just horrendous. Quit acting, or rather expecting, everyone here to be the same as you. Just because you own the game's intended OS, doesn't mean others do.

  12. If this comes out for Android, MAYBE I will try it out. I will probably be listening for the reviews first. Like a lot of other people, my first impression of this game was less than stellar.

  13. What we need is the easy pay-to-win iOS game and a the real 3DS/Vita/PSP version free from such a weak gameplay trap like the phones.

  14. Capcom would be fools yet again not to port it to the ever-rising, ever-popular Android. That and it's probably the only way I'll personally ever play the game. lol

  15. I'm really hoping for an Android release...provided it's worth getting to begin with (which, most likely, it isn't).

  16. how about no xover at all and release mm legends 3 and mm universe instead capcom? xover still looks like a steaming pile of crap compared to the two cancelled mm games. oh and while their at it how about finally giving us megaman mania after cancelling it 5 years ago? but instead of gba just port it to nintendo ds.
