Mega Man X: Command Mission Now Available on PS4 and PS5

Mega Man X: Command Mission, the 2004 RPG that has never been re-released in any official capacity, is now available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 for $9.99, or at no additional cost for PlayStation Plus Premium members.

It goes without saying, but this is the PlayStation 2 version of the game, which means the then-console-exclusive Mega Man X8 demo is still intact. As a PS Classic, it does feature a few modern touches, namely upscaled resolution, faster load times and Remote Play. It does not, however, include Trophies.

For non-PlayStation owners, all we can do for now is hope the game eventually makes its way to other platforms. Capcom has previously expressed interest in re-releasing more titles that aren't available on modern hardware, though for the time being, all efforts appear to be focused on Mega Man: Dual Override.

Pragmata x Mega Man Collaboration Goods Revealed

On the heels of yesterday's Diana and Mega Man artwork, Capcom has unveiled a full lineup of Pragmata x Mega Man goods just in time for Tokyo Game Show. The collection includes an acrylic standee, keychains, coasters, a pin badge, a metallic file and a clear file set.

For now, the collection appears to be exclusive to E-Capcom, though that could change. If it stays that way, international buyers will need to order through ZenMarket, E-Capcom's preferred proxy service.

There's also a good chance some of these items will eventually make their way to stores like Play-Asia, so it may be worth keeping an eye out if you'd rather avoid using a proxy service.

Mega Man: Dual Override Playable Demo Coming to Los Angeles (September 19-20)

Live in or close to Little Tokyo, Los Angeles? Good news: you'll soon have a chance to play Dual Override.

Capcom’s first-ever U.S. pop-up opens at Little Akihabara this weekend, with Dual Override playable on September 19 and 20. This will be the game’s first public demo in the states, though Capcom says participation will be extremely limited.

While the demo will only be up for two days, the pop-up store itself runs through October 18. There will be all kinds of Mega Man goods on sale, as well as life-size statues of Mega Man (and other Capco characters) for photo ops.

The pop-up shop will be open daily from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Little Akihabara Popup Shop & Live (319 E 2nd St. #122, Los Angeles, CA 90012).

Capcom Shares Official Pragmata x Mega Man Art (Updated)

The official Pragmata Twitter account shared a new piece of artwork featuring Diana and Mega Man, continuing what has become a running joke at Capcom.

Illustrated by Yuji Ishihara, the piece depicts Diana in a Mega Man-inspired pose, with the accompanying caption reading, “I tried getting a little closer to the Mega Man style! What do you think?” UPDATE: there's now a second piece!

The long-running gag that Pragmata was secretly a Mega Man game started as a fan theory a few years ago and has since been embraced by Capcom, complete with an in-game Easter egg and upcoming DLC costumes based on Mega Man and Roll.

Needless to say, Capcom seems more than happy to keep the mutual love between the two series going!

The Real Names of X's First Four Armors

There are several things in the Mega Man X series that have gone unanswered for decades: What happened to the Classic cast? What happened to Vile Mk-III and IV? Why can General be 7 feet tall in one scene and 50 feet tall the next? The list goes on and on.

Among these mysteries, none is more prevalent than the names of the Armor sets in the first four Mega Man X games. Light or First? Giga or Second? MAX or Third? Force or Fourth? Maybe they’re all the Full Armor? What about Tune-Up Parts? As you can see, it’s become quite a mess over the years.

In the video above, I’ve done my best to get to the bottom of where most of these names came from and which ones fit the story best, so I hope you’ll check it out. Just remember, almost every name is technically right in one way or another (well, except for Giga), so let’s keep it civil.

And a big thank you to Protodude for giving me the chance to share this one on Rockman Corner. I hope you enjoy!

Mega Man: Wily Tower Gets Fan-Made NES Demake

The annual Sonic Amateur Games Expo is in full swing, bringing fans together to showcase fan-made games, demos and mods. Among this year’s projects is a “demake” of Mega Man: Wily Tower, reimagining The Wily Wars’ bonus mode as its own standalone game in traditional 8-bit style.

But it’s more than just a visual makeover. Developed by ThatEntityGirl, the game also includes a number of quality-of-life improvements and bonus features, including a fully playable Proto Man, optional “improved” versions of the weapons, bonus stages, additional bosses, a boss rush mode, cheats and more.

You can download the game from its official SAGE Expo 2026 page here!

Releasing alongside Shooting Star Mega Man is the other half of Wave 1: Zero in his Mega Man Zero design! But is this kit just as good as the last one? After the break, I’ll go over everything you need to know.
