No, Pragmata isn't a Mega Man game. That much is obvious. But that hasn't stopped Capcom from having a little fun with the fan theory that's become something of a meme, whether through cross-promotional tweets or that pretty great April Fool's joke.
And apparently, that playfulness doesn't end there. Now that Pragmata is finally in players' hands, some have started spotting a small Blue Bomber reference tucked away in the game...
From time to time, Cabin, the game’s friendly support bot, triggers a brief animation of Hugh Williams styled like an 8-bit Mega Man sprite, complete with retro sound effects. It’s a small detail, but a nice little nod.
Given how much fun Capcom has been having with the Mega Man and Pragmata, and how readily fans have embraced it, it wouldn't be surprising to see more goofy crossovers like this going forward. I'm also still fully on board with the theory that Hugh's Mega Man-themed suit from the April Fool's joke could eventually become real DLC. It's just too good an idea not to use.
