Capcom has released a brand-new trailer for Mega Man: Dual Override at Gamescom 2026. The trailer showcases several new stages and features, including our first look at an all-new Robot Master, Twinkle Girl, and the return of... Astro Man?
Other highlights include Proto Man, sporting an all-new look, and a new gameplay mechanic called Custom Chips. According to Capcom, these chips can be used to "modify Mega Man's abilities and tap into overwhelming power through the new Override System."
We also have a brief story synopsis:
"Robots are running rampant at the Robot exhibition in Dr. Light's absence, and it's up to Mega Man and Proto Man to rise to the challenge to restore peace to the city. Override your limits and uncover the truth behind the incident!"
To top things off, Capcom also confirmed that a new Mega Man-themed skin pack is coming to Pragmata later this year. The costume was originally teased as an April Fool’s joke earlier this year.

ReplyDelete"Twinkle Girl"? I think this might be the first time a canon robot master's name has had a youthful connotation to it. I certainly don't remember anything with "Boy" in the name in prior games.
ReplyDeleteAstroman returning makes me wonder if returning robot masters are gonna be paired with whatever new robot masters they may theme/match with the most.. Searchman returning along side the new robot master that looks like they have two heads 🥹🥹🥹?? One can dream 🥹🥹

ReplyDeleteAwesome. My only real gripe so far, is that they still haven't shown Proto Man in action yet, for whatever reason. Hopefully, that'll change during tomorrow's event. Of course, I'm also still hoping for Bass to be in the game also, but if he is, we probably won't get any word about that until the game is close to release, much like Mega Man 10.
ReplyDeleteAstro Man's presence is also quite interesting. My guess is that this is either something similar to what was done with Cut Man and Wood Man in the Sega Saturn version of Mega Man 8, or it may be a scenario like the Mega Man Killers in MM10, with throwback stages from past games, complete with being able to obtain their weapons. Either one is fine, but I'm hoping for the latter.
