Disk Union has announced that Electrical Communication, the opening theme from the Rockman 8 (not to mention Super Adventure Rockman) will be re-released on 8cm CD and, for the first time, 7-inch vinyl on November 25, 2026. Both editions will be produced in limited quantities, available exclusively though Disk Union's official site.
Electrical Communication was GANASIA’s debut release and is fondly remembered by fans as the first vocal theme song in the series. Although it was removed from the English versions of Rockman 8, it has nevertheless remained a certified bop among fans around the world.
If you're looking to pick up either the CD or vinyl, the good news is that Disk Union offers international shipping through WorldShopping. Just click the WorldShopping banner on the CD or vinyl product page here to learn more.

ReplyDeleteI hope Capcom releases the soundtracks for the first 10 Mega Man games on music streaming platforms at some point. They did it with Mega Man X and ZX, so they should be able to do it with the classic series as well.
ReplyDeleteHope this is the full single, Brandnew Way was always the better song.
ReplyDeletecall me crazy, but while everyone loved this song, i always enjoyed the western opening more
ReplyDeleteThe western opening fit the overall vibe of the actual game's OST, which made it feel more natural.
DeleteNow it's not such a big deal, but back in the 90s having a random J-pop song that you don't understand the lyrics to greet you before playing the latest Mega Man game would have felt weirdly out of place for US gamers.
Mega Man X6 for example.
