As anticipated, Mega Man is officially heading to Fortnite.
Epic Games has released the trailer for Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Override, bringing together a lineup of gaming icons, including Sonic, Crash Bandicoot, Joker from Persona 5 and, of course, Mega Man.
Mega Man appears sporting his updated Dual Override design and a cel shaded style. The trailer also shows the Mega Buster in action, suggesting the Blue Bomber’s signature weapon will play a role in the new season.
For now, it remains unclear how the Mega Man skin will be obtained, whether through the Battle Pass or the Shop.
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Override begins August 20.
Amazing, they made a version of Mega Man that looks even deader inside than the Smash Bros. one
ReplyDeleteTbh, I kinda don't like the idea of Mega Man being tall since it doesn't make no sense at all.
ReplyDeleteHe stands out like a sore thumb. Not sure why they chose that art style, but I don't play Fortnite to begin with, so whatever.
ReplyDeleteIf I may, I am excited to see Mega Man in Fortnite. However, there's something I would like to point out.
ReplyDeleteIn the promotional image for the new season, which was leaked early, the man known as Agent Jones was seen with a Buster. However, it's not the Mega Buster like what was seen in the trailer. Agent Jones is holding the X-Buster, which we know as Mega Man X's standard weapon. Either that was a detail oversight on the designer's behalf or we might expect more on the Mega Man collab with Fortnite in the future.
I've never played Fortnite and not even this will be enough to convince me to. Still, I'm glad they're still doing crossovers like this to help spread awareness of the series. Personally though, I think the best way to boost the popularity of the series would be an anime series adapting the story of the X, Zero, and ZX games. The story in these games seems specially catered towards a shonen style series but they've never done anything with that beyond things like the animated cutscenes in the ZX games and Day of Σ.
ReplyDeleteBoth megaman and Sonic look so weird in this proportion lol, especially Sonic. For Megaman, they could've picked X honestly, he has the proportions of a human adult and it wouldn't have looked so off.
