Review: Threezero Capsule-Dou Finger Mega Busters Vol. 1

Over the years, I’ve seen plenty of unusual Mega Man products, but never anything quite like this. As part of Threezero's Capsule-Dou line, Mega Man’s iconic Buster has been turned into a nifty set of keychains! Are they fun little accessories or just a novelty that misses the mark? Get your weapons ready!

So, a good question is "what exactly are these?" Simply put, this is a collection of six Mega Buster blind boxes that function as keychains and flashlights. When you order, your box is guaranteed two standard blue Mega Busters, and one each of Fire Storm, Metal Blade, Leaf Shield, and Shadow Blade. Interestingly, the latter three don't actually use the Buster for their Special Weapons, but were likely chosen for their recognizable color schemes.

Even putting my known bias for Busters aside, these Busters look great. The Mega Buster design is a pretty simple one, so there really isn't too much to mess up. A cool attention to detail comes from the "sleeves" where your finger goes. These sleeves are correctly colored to match Mega Man's secondary colors with each Special Weapon. These Busters could function as just a cute accessory for a purse or backpack, but they really shine as a flashlight.

That's bright, man.

For such a little thing, these are actually a half-decent flashlight! I have seriously used one as a normal flashlight at home a time or two, and they are very effective. Turning them on is easy, simply press the button on the inside where your finger goes. 

Now, the light won't exactly blow you away, but they will do in a pinch. If you clip one of these onto your bag, it could come in handy, though consider a stronger chain, the chains they come with are as basic as they come.

Big Buster Boy

What immediately caught me off guard was how big these Busters actually are. It makes sense that they would be on the larger side since you're meant to put these on your finger, but it still took me aback. But if you want to give your Mega Man toys a huge Buster, fear not! With your sense & skill and a bit of balance, anything is possible! Well, maybe not anything, but you can at least make these work well enough. Besides, I hear oversized Busters are in these days.

There really isn't too much else to say about these. They are really fun and charming, and could potentially help you find something behind a dark shelf. Getting six Busters for one purchase price is fun, especially if you want to split them with friends.
