Mega Man: Dual Override Playable Demo Coming to Los Angeles (September 19-20)

Live in or close to Little Tokyo, Los Angeles? Good news: you'll soon have a chance to play Dual Override.

Capcom’s first-ever U.S. pop-up opens at Little Akihabara this weekend, with Dual Override playable on September 19 and 20. This will be the game’s first public demo in the states, though Capcom says participation will be extremely limited.

While the demo will only be up for two days, the pop-up store itself runs through October 18. There will be all kinds of Mega Man goods on sale, as well as life-size statues of Mega Man (and other Capco characters) for photo ops.

The pop-up shop will be open daily from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Little Akihabara Popup Shop & Live (319 E 2nd St. #122, Los Angeles, CA 90012).

  1. Hope the art style and music is as boring as 11

    1. I just take solace in the fact that when people like yourself crawl out of their holes it's a surefire sign that Mega Man is getting popular again.

    2. Looks far better than boring NES style. NES had limited sprite and level design abilities and made Megaman look derpy, and I grew up in that era (not blinded by nostalgia bias though). Just as I would prefer MM7 and 8 over NES detail and poor sound quality, though I admit the NES games still are fun and some good music composition, though crap explosion effects. I liked MM8 more than R&F because MM8 to me had better sound and music quality and explosions, but R&F was fun too and some good music. Also not sure of the music since I have not played it, but I think the trailer music is fresh and festive (fits the fireworks we see). That being said, I am ok playing MM1 through 12. I got the steam collections too. I even downloaded the SNES version of R&F and used a translation patch (better quality than the GBA version).
