A Familiar Face Shows Up in New Marvel vs Capcom Infinite Story Trailer

Feast your eyes on the full Marvel vs Capcom Infinite story trailer. There's so much going on you may have to watch it twice. The highlight for Mega Man fans, though, is the surprise appearance of a certain someone. He's not playable but it's nice to see him represented in some capacity. You'll have to watch and find out!

Marvel vs Capcom Infinite will arrive September 19th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.

  1. So this confirms that the Light Capsules in a way are just Light's uploaded conscientiousness right ? Like he would have no idea who Sigma let alone Ultron were but he is seen acknowledging them here.

    1. this has been widely accepted theory by the mega man x fan base, but never stated by any official Capcom source that the Light Capsules contain his consciousnesses.

    2. It's still kinda vague. Light's hologram had a conversation with Zero, and even knew about Alia. In X4 he says to X to stop the senseless war, meaning he was aware of the Repliforce's war for independence.

The hologram is definitely more than just a message from Light. Especially after X5's ending. He could be an advanced AI, or Light himself somehow. But really, this doesn't give us any definitive answer. At least, I don't think it does.

  2. The fact that Jedah from Darkstalkers 3 is in this game makes me really happy.
The fact that Jedah plays a huge role in the plot makes me even happier!

I'm genuinely fascinated as to how they're doing to pull off his "blood inflation" grab, though. The crossover series doesn't seem silly enough for that, anymore.

    1. Jedah also appeared in Cross Edge and stole the plot halfway through by controlling the triplets and their connection to Dark Baku. He's such a spotlight hog. XD

    2. I love Jedah. I really do. I don't care if he is evil incarnate. He's just got so much style! And, scythes. I love me some scythes.

    3. Cross Edge was a terrible game with a not even amusing while being a terrible story (obviously in my opinion not that that needs to be said).

    4. @Anon: I don't agree. I found Cross Edge quite enjoyable, and so did many others. Was it too difficult for you to figure out or something?

  4. Oh snap....this actually looks....kinda cool...
I mean I'd never given any of these kind of games a second glance but this might change that. Didn't realise it actually had a plot or that the megamsn characters seem to be important to it. May check it out who knows.

  5. I remember when Marvel vs. Capcom was the most innovative, pulse-pounding fighter on the market.
Today it's a hollow shell that, like all American games, emphasizes story and graphics over gameplay.
No wonder they don't port these things to Nintendo systems, they're the most non-Japanese games Capcom has ever made besides all the Resident Evil titles of the last nine years(except Revelations).

    1. It definitely isnt emphasising graphics over gameplay. The actual game (not that story demo) is quite fun.

    2. Couldn't agree more with you. This new MvC isn't interesting at all. Shame X had to appear on this title.
