Mega Man 2.5D Beta 2.0 Launches


The second, fully playable beta for for the fan game known as "Mega Man 2.5D" has gone live. The new demo includes one new co-op stage (Snake Man), and freshly produced single-player mode featuring two stages (Snake Man and Shadow Man).

    2. As much as I'm a fan of the 8-bit style, I have to agree. this would be greatly improved with actual 3D models of Megaman and the like, even if they stuck to an 8-bit color and design motif.

  3. It's not too bad. The gameplay mechanics are a bit off though. Jumping and grabbing onto ladders feels stiff and there is a huge delay between firing your buster shots and it going off-screen. The bullets don't immediately die off when they go off-screen so rapid firing is pretty broken at the moment. It's sometimes to hard to see where you will land after you jump. I hope they include some simple shadows or something to remedy this.

    1. Hey, thanks for the feedback, we are still working on the physics trying to improve them, so it will get better in the future, we do try to be as close as possible to the originals in terms of feeling.
