Devil May Cry & Rockman X DiVE Collaboration Announced

After three collaborations with Monster Hunter and one with Street Fighter, Rockman X DiVE is tapping into something a little different this time. The Deep Log is crossing paths with Capcom's stylish action game Devil May Cry 5 with brand-new versions of X and Zero!

Find all the details after the break!

X Dante Trigger's first active skill is X Stinger, which allows you to charge forward and damage all enemies in its path. This skill also causes the target to burn and enables you to unleash three tracking energy blades that can penetrate terrain.

With one of the chips equipped, he can reduce the target's movement speed when hit with X Stinger. Furthermore, one of his passive skills will provide a movement speed increase.

Dante Trigger's second active skill is X Rainstorm. With this skill, you can jump up and strafe targets around you, dealing continuous damage to targets within range.

In addition, another passive skill enables the attack to release six tracking missiles that can ignore terrain, while another passive skill enhances his defense. He also has a passive skill that allows him to heal his HP.

The character can enter "Devil Trigger" state to increase increase offense and defense.

"X Dante Trigger" will be available this week and "Zero Vergil Trigger" the week after. Keep you eyes peeled for Zero's reveal very soon!

  1. Hey, remember when they did the Street Fighter collab and could have dropped amazing redesign nonsense like this or like the Monster Hunter crossover? And instead they just dropped fully unchanged Ryu, Chun-li, and Akuma with no thematic accompaniment in our laps?? Haha. Corporations suck.

.....this is cool though, more of this please. I mean-- it's unbelievably stupid looking, but it's hilarious, so I love it. This is what crossover events should look like.

    1. I was going to say something similar. It looks stupid but I LOVE it. Maybe this will inspire me to give the series another chance. Barely got into DMC1 before I died 10+ times to the same boss and figured it wasn't for me.

    2. Well X looks dumb as heck, but Zero looks pretty fantastic. Honestly with X, they should have just made a helmet that incorporated the color scheme of Dante's hair or used the full Devil Trigger design as inspiration and drop any reference to his hair at all. Either way would be better than this plopped on hair on top of head armor thing. I get it though, Dante's hair is iconic to his character design.

  2. I haven't played X Dive in years.

  3. Like I thought, they just want to continue Dive and milk it (now amping up implementation of unrelated non-MM stuff vs an actual new game just to keep milking it). What is this, going on 4 years now? At this rate, it will be 2030 before it ends. Most of us want actual new MM games, but some are satisfied with these scraps and want to encourage it to continue vs moving on. I won't bite though.

    1. I agree with what you said. As much as I appreciate multiple X Dive ideas that are in the game like bringing X-kai and Iris-another, I think it's time to stop now, I'm not asking for the game to go offline, I'm asking Capcom to work on other things and I'm not talking about another Street fighter game or Devil may Cry game. I'm talking about making games like X9 or ZX3, but Capcom just don't care.
Now I just want to say to you, they are franchises in far worst state than Megaman.
Unlike guys like "Shrap", I still have hope for the franchise and as long as the Megaman fanbase is still strong, I will still have hope

    2. I agree with what you said, I think it's time for the game to stop. It has did his time and now it's time to move on to other things, but I just want to say to you that they are franchise in worst state than Megaman and you don't realize how much the Megaman community is strong, and as long as the community is strong, the franchise will still live on.
They have been fangames, artwork and multiples projects that the fans created.
Now I'm gonna say an actual fact, Megaman is not DEAD. The fanbase is still huge and passionate as ever and I still have hope for the franchise.

    3. You called? *sigh* WTF do you want? I stopped caring enough about this POS to bother posting about it. You want me to be quiet? Don't bring me up genius. THINK next time.
At least I stand by what I say and you can tell it's me without hiding behind some "Anonymous" wall where you can just post without anyone even being able to sort out who's talking to who.

    4. Hey chill out man, I didn't know you completly stopped carring about the game. I wanted you to have a reaction to see if you were still commenting about it. But now I know you don't anymore.
Now I don't think you understand, I did not want to insult you or your opinion about the game
I don't want you to be quiet, that's not what I said. What I said is the fact that I keeped seeing you saying that the franchise is dead because of Capcom reccent desisions and that you don't even have hope for it (at least that's my interpretation).
I still have hope for Megaman's future and if I missunderstand your comments, I apologize for that

I know they have been multiples guys that being calling you out for your previous comments and I am clever enough to not post anything about what I think of a person online. I will only state what the person said.

You've stated that you don't have hope for Megaman franchise; I've stated that I still have hope for it unlike you
THAT'S IT. not a single insults towards you, not a death threat, just a simple fact.
(Now maybe I did not calling you out correctly and I apologize for that)

Anyway both you and I don't need to argue to each other any further. I don't have any problems with your comments, your opinion about this silly game of whatever
I've said what needed to be said and if you have a problem with that, just deal with it.

    5. "Now I just want to say to you, they are franchises in far worst state than Megaman."

I know, which includes Castlevania, Gradius, Thunder Force, even Donkey Kong Country seems dead, as is the small Banjo Kazooie series because Rareware discontinued their association with Nintendo a while back. I never found interest in the newer DK games in the 2010s since no kremlins or actual continuation, though my sister owned it on her Wii and I might have played a few min with her back in 2010. But I did play and own the DKC games when they came out on the SNES and DK 64 (kind of like Banjo Tooie).

Speaking of games, before that, the NES Ninja Gaiden series I played and beat at a young age. Funny when I got the SNES and first tried Super Mario World near the end of 1993, I was amazing by the graphics since I was so used to the NES. First game I played was probably the first Mario Bros and Duck Hunt in 1988 at 5 years old, though I did play Apple EII games like Oregon trail, Conan, or Number Munchers in the classroom around 1994 (like Atara but just green and black colors) and was thinking 'this looks so bad compared to the games on SNES. I rented a lot of games in those days and played them, and most of them that I played I also beat. I even recall Bubble Bobble (100 levels with 1 screen). I must have been 5 or 6, also played Contra but only beat the first one with the cheat that gives you 30 lives (might have been able to the normal way), but of course beat Contra 3 on hard in a normal fashion, same for Contra Hard Corps on the Genesis, or the PSX ones which are ridiculous in comparison and thus not considered canon to Contra. At least R-type was resurrected with Final 2, though we have not seen a new Raiden game since Raiden V from 2015. Hopefully we get a Raiden VI with more backstory on the crystals. 6. I agree that MegaMan X dive is simple milk bait and they won’t do anything real for the series till it dries up.

  4. To be honest, I quit Mega Man X Dive last year because nothing seems to really be happening with the story anymore (unless something has updated by now after Grenade Man's stage) and I got tired of the grind. I couldn't get any new units no matter how many EMs I spent and I was going through the same dailies over and over. It got to be as bad as AFK Arena, another mobile title I quit a few years ago for the same reasons.

    1. The story did actually progress and I can confirm that the first story arc has concluded (yes, there would be several main story arc, similarly to what Bandai Namco has with Tales of the Rays but on a much lower budget because of course)

I don't play the game either anymore since I actually lost access to it after my PC died last summer and corrupted the data for several files I had, including the emulator. But I still kinda follow the sotry because my other friends are still playing.

    2. I see, thank you for letting me know. Guess I should have figured it would move on eventually. A shame I couldn't stay invested in the game anymore, but it was my decision to quit and them's the breaks. I really wanted to keep going, especially because once I got Halloween Vile, things got a lot more fun for me. But there was just so little incentive to continue after spending so much time and effort on it.

It's funny you mention Tales of the Rays. I was just talking to a friend last night about how much it royally sucks the global version got shut down back in 2018 while the Japanese version is still going strong, plus they got so many anime and game collaborations while we didn't get squat once the shutdown notice hit.

  5. Kinda absurd and cool at the same time.

Maybe Axl would have been a better fit for the Dante skin.

    1. Yeah, and he does make more sense than X.
X is just... the main protagonist that shoots people. Similarities end here.

      Also Dante Trigger has the reoccuring problem of X not being recognisible due to a large amount of changes done to him design and mainly to his helmet. Zero and Axl have more distinct features which makes for stronger silhouettes and lets them be recognisible no mater how much you change their armor. If I were to explain, Zero has differently shaped eyes (being more upside-down triangle than an oval or square), spicked helmet, generally more bulky appearance and really long blond hair, while Axl has slightly more rounded eyes (at least on the new arts and the arts where his helmet doesn't obscure too much of the eyes), a big X-shaped scar in the middle of his face (to destinguish him from X and Zero and also to make him more mysterious and seeming to be "built not from the good guy" mold), a lot of sharp corners in combination with round shapes, really big ear pieces on the helpet and the spiky ginger hair protruding from the back of the helmet. In comparison to them, X looks a bit... basic? And you can mostly recognise that's him from the helmet shape or basic color scheme if the armor is completely different. But that's just my opinion and plus I have been rabling on for far too long ^^;

    2. I can relate to the second anon tbh.
Or at least could because I lost my access to the account. I still follow the game but I was waiting for it to shut down the day after it came out.

  7. Cool collab, but I hate X Dive and refuse to play it

    1. Agreed, I wouldn't touch it. I have standards. Doing so only encourages them to keep doing dive and not make new MM games. More X9, ZX3, Legends 3, MM12 please. Doing mobile and gacha is a lazy way to just get easier money. I liked the days when the may it an actual game + built it around big screens and controllers (makes me happy Legends 3 never came out on the 3DS and I would just use an emulator then). Bad enough that it is built around a puny mobile device, but it is like a bunch of mini games and nothing else with a bunch of incoherent mixtures of long dead reploids. Iris has been dead since 1997, and in canon, isn't coming back, nevermind that first boss in X3 that is in Dive too. It makes no sense except fan service.
