Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite's September 19th release date is almost upon us. To get you ready for the occasion, Capcom have begun posting official tutorial videos for all 30 playable characters at launch. The videos will be dropping in clusters over the next few days, but to get you started, here's everything you need to know about our boy X.

Keep your eyes peeled to the official MvCI YouTube channel for more!

  1. That's the worst rendition of Abel City In Crisis of all time.

God I hate Hideki Fukasawa's music 99.5% of the time. When will modern Capcom fighters ever ride themseves of that man's musical curse? dammit

    1. X's theme sounds wierd, for sure on youtube.

    2. Seems with a lot of music he loves to just use sawtooth synths and the like and ultimately arrive at a very lackluster, generic sounding cover. Very uninspired. They should get Shinji Hosoe of Street Fighter EX/Network Transmission fame. The man needs more work!

    3. Shinji Hosoe would be a blessing, but Capcom would have to pay freelancing fees since he's not employed by them.

He also seems to gravitate to 3D fighting games like his recent work on Tekken7 and I am pretty sure he is doing the OST for that new Arika fighter (the developers of the SFEX series).

Either way I'd take Shinji or any prominent Mega Man composer over more Hideki.

    4. Not sure about Hosoe for a fighting game soundtrack. I like his music, but so far the only stuff I've heard from him is the Zero Escape series. I'll take him over Fukasawa though. I didn't care for his remix stylings in MVC3, much less now.

    5. I didn't know the intro stage for X1 got a name.

Btw, I really feel like that's one of X's weaker themes next to X2-X4, the worst for me being X5's. It's just kind of a weird song to me, although not bad. The best rendition I've heard is Dominick Ninmark's "X - The One and Only".

    6. The intro stage for X1 is called either Central Highway or Awakening Road (Awake Road Again in X7), I believe. Of course in the soundtrack it's just "Opening Stage". I've never heard of "Abel City in Crisis, it sounds like some odd fan naming of the remix from MHX.

    7. The original X intro stage was never titled Central Highway, Central Highway is literally the name of the stage subtitled after Opening Stage sometimes in OSVs and once in the 20thAnnRMXSB for the 11th CD containing MHX's ST. The official Maverick Hunter X OST duel release with MMPU's OST has subtitled Theme of X after Opening Stage if that's anything to go by.

Awakening Road is a highly arranged version of Opening Stage from the Alph-Lyla arranged X ost specifically, X7's Awake Road Again is a reference to that and that alone.

And yes Abel City in Crisis is a fan name I like to use because the official tracks lack any sort of creative names most of the time.

There are literally more than 7 tracks officially named Opening Stage from most MMX series OSTs, and if they are not called that they are called Opening Stage X or Opening Stage Zero.

That crap is boring, vague but official. Official or not tho, I'd much rather use distinctive fan names than "Opening Stage" even tho they are fan names.

      Hope that clears things up.

    8. Fair enough. I don't have any alternative suggestions, but if we could start naming the other opening stage themes, I'd name X2's "Raiding the Reploid Factory" and X3's "Attack on Hunter Tower".

    9. I agree, I'm just weird and usually prefer to keep the original names unless they're really weird or sound off in English. Like I remember in Battle Network 3 the Undernet Theme was called "Dangerous Black", which I rename "Dangerous Darkness" because I assume that would be the localized name.

Same with BN5 and the track "Black Power", which, again, sounds really off in English, and renamed it "Dark Power.

But yeah, it is a shame the track names for most Mega Man OSTs are so generic and lazy.

    10. Heh... Dangerous Black Power with one of the first prominant Mega Man villains being Grave Joker/ Dread Joker and one of the first menacing things he does is attempted murder on a little white girl haha...

      I'll stop now.

  2. Pair him up with Hulk or Black Panther and I'm all set.

  3. I'm so curious on how Sigma will play. What weapons will he use? Can he summon his dog?

    1. If he can, I betcha it will look a lot like Casshern's Friender assist from Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom.

  4. I wonder if Capcom's official YouTube page will contain a video on "How To Spam Your Way To The Top Of The Leaderboards".

    1. That's the Zero tutorial.

    2. Actually Zero's pretty dynamic, he can spam you, mix you up, out neutral you whatever.

He's pretty much the most well (as in well rounded and effective) designed fighting game character ever made so far. His only real weakness is health and if he had that he'd be just pointless as players might as well ban him.

    3. You're absolutely right. Zero tutorial dropped and he's a spamfiend: www.dualshockers.com/marvel-vs-capcom-infinite-tutorials

  5. X's tutorial vid looks okay, but I can learn and adapt on my own. Don't worry about the tutorial vid. Let me worry about my skill and the understanding of game mechanics. By the way, my team is X, Zero, and Ryu. Only... Wolverine is in MvsCInf and I would play him. Even I want Jon Talbain for DLC character on next season 2...

    1. Sorry, but you can only pick teams of 2, and X-Men may be off the table for this game.

    2. ...I know. It's a 2vs2 mode without assist types. I'm trying to figure it out with my team and find something useful or useless with six stones.

  6. You never guess who X's voice actor is...!

    Here's a hint: "Street Fighters".

    1. So, someone from SFV?

    2. That hint made me think of the US cartoon. I think they actually referred to themselves as "the Street Fighters," at some point. But, never mind -- here's another hint:

      "Think pink."

    3. Someone who didn't make it to SFV.

    4. Poison? Hugo? Enero?... Cracker Jack?....

Yup that's all I can think of when I think of Pink and Street Fighter.8P

    5. Spill the beans, already. Who is it?

    7. It's Ted Sroka, who voiced Dan Hibiki in SF4: https://twitter.com/TedSroka/status/908765988165902336

I'm sure Ikki Tousen fans are thrilled as well.

    8. Dan Hibiki's voice actor is X? It's too bad the guy who voiced X in Maverick Hunter X isn't doing his voice. Last I heard, that guy retired or something. Oh well...

    9. I've been wanting someone to replace Gatha for a while, but my first choice would not have been Dan Hibiki. I just don't know what they're going for here.

  7. The tutorial vid for Zero is out

  8. AnonymousSeptember 15, 2017 at 3:53 PM is correct! X's voice actor is Ted Sroka! Congrats!
