Rockman EXE Returns to Hanayashiki Theme Park

With Rockman EXE's 15th anniversary drawing to a close, Capcom are once again teaming up with Japanese theme park Hanayashiki for Rockman EXE: Hanayashiki Mission 2. The event officially kicks off on November 26th, lasting through December 25th.

According to Gamer, the event will be split in two parts for attendees to participate: "Episode 1 - Prevent Panda Car's Runaway!" and "Episode 2 - Defeat the Source of the Runaway Pandacar!" Attendees that clear both events (via stamp rally) will be rewarded with an exclusive Rockman EXE prize.

Various Rockman EXE x Hanayashiki collaborative goods and beverages will be on hand for attendees, too. You can get a look at those after the break.

  1. Any way to obtain these without going to the event? ...

    1. Yahoo Auctions Japan, yes. You'll have to bid through a proxy service like Rinkya.

  3. Man I wish they'd just release the art at full quality so that I can have it without needing the accessories.

  4. This is neat and all... But there is one thing that would make us fans even more excited... I can't quite put my finger on it... But it may or may not have to do with the entire purpose of Capcom as a game developer... Hmm...

    1. Capcom as a game developer, and book developers/publishers, and movie (Capcom pictures/studios) producers, toys and accessories, electronics manufactures (no not the outsourced stuff), food (Capcom food trucks and wine), event organizers, music producers (Suleputer) and other miscellaneous stuff.

  5. Mega Man Battle Network should do a crossover with something again. Maybe an anime series? It would be a great way to try something new.

  6. I kinda wonder if that's Mitsuru Ishihara (Xebec) doing the artwork, since it does resemble the more original art style the anime started out with (particularly the DVD cover artwork in Japan).

    1. Oh lordy, it really looks like it! The notion that he went and made an entire OVA-worthy poster for a theme park event is just amazing. Threw so much heart in there you can already imagine an episode/ova just from looking at it.

Man if I was over there right now, I'd buy the poster in a heartbeat!

    1. You mean like every series in the Mega Man franchise?

Sometimes you guys try too hard to beg for games. (IB4 I wasn't asking for a game I was suggesting a comic, anime etc)

    2. "Sometimes you guys try too hard to beg for games"

Personally, I see it the other way around. Capcom is begging everyone to buy merch because they are too lazy to make a proper Mega Man game.

Seriously, they have the skills and resources to make a good Mega Man game, but they instead choose just rake in profits from Mega Man merch while some other company does the work of actually creating it. Sure it works out great for Capcom in the short run, but it's going to cause their fanbase to dwindle and merch sales to decline.

  8. That is kinda weird for them to advertise like this without a new title or at least game collection coming out.
I mean the generation of kids that played the exe titles are grown now and u can't imagine that the next generation would really be into it or ever played it.
Maybe it's just for nostalgia who knows
I personally love this branch of the franchise ^^
When I saw this article's thumbnail I got excited for a minute

  9. Okay, ONE multi-day event for a sub-series without any recent activity I can swallow. TWO, on the other hand...

I'm placing bets on the mobile Mega Man being a Battle Network spinoff. It would make perfect sense for the platform and would explain all of this oddly specific advertising.
