Mega Man Legacy Collection Fixes Are Forthcoming

If you've invested a decent amount of time in Mega Man Legacy Collection you've no doubt noticed a few audio and graphical hiccups. The Steam version is the worst offender at the moment: sound errors, black screens, Windows 7 compatibility issues, and so forth. Fortunately these problems have not fallen of deaf ears; Capcom and Digital Eclipse are reportedly working on fixes.

Mega Man Legacy Collection Headed to Japan

Good news for our friends on the other side of the world: Mega Man Legacy Collection is coming to Japan, rechristened as Rockman Classics Collection.

The good word comes from a savvy crew of data miners who unearthed the above logo from Legacy Collection's files. What's more, screenshots from the game have been found on Japanese Xbox One servers. Together, these images suggest a future release.

It remains to be seen when the game will hit Japanese consoles. Availability is also in question, whether or not it will be available both in digital and physical formats.

This Mega Buster Fits Right in Your Pocket

Various Official Rockman Websites Have Shutdown

Here's a bit of a head scratcher for you: Capcom Japan has reportedly pulled the plug on individual Rockman websites. These include:

Only a pair of outlets survived the purge: the official Rockman portal and Rockman Unity.  It should be noted these two are regularly updated. The four that got the ax haven't seen any significant updates in 5+ years.

Now, this could simply be Capcom cleaning up the brand's web presence; relegating the franchise under a smaller umbrella. The disheartening bit about that though? Those four pages represented their individual series, some for over ten years. I fondly remember checking out ZX's page in the days leading up to the first game's release, rocking out to looping tunes. It's a little sad to see them go.

Anyway, I'm sure this is nothing to panic over. There is no evidence of anything "sinister" going on behind-the-scenes. We'll keep an ear out, of course. In the meantime the WayBack Machine exists. You're free to revisit these pages anytime.

RockBoard Was Considered for Mega Man Legacy Collection

Mega Man Legacy Collection features all six classic NES titles in a single package. At one point, however, Capcom and Digital Eclipse considered the possibility of throwing an additional title in the mix: RockBoard, the Famicom-exclusive spin-off.

Tapping Mega Man or any of the 50+ Amiibo unlocks that character in the game's 8-bit Super Mario Bros. stages. Essentially, you can play Super Mario Bros. as Mega Man. UPDATE: Added a new image! Look! Mega Man clearing the goal flag pole!

No footage of Mega Man in action just yet. We'll probably have a better idea of what that looks like closer to the game's North American launch on September 11th.

PlayStation Summer Sale Slashes Mega Man Prices (50% Off)

Week two of the PlayStation Summer Sale is here, and with it comes discounts on five PSX Mega Man games. From now until next week, you can grab Mega Man 1-4 and Mega Man 8 for $3.00 each on the North American PlayStation Store. PlayStation Plus members can take an additional 10% off.

This is the first time in a very, very long time the Complete Works titles have been on sale. And, since Mega Man Legacy Collection isn't coming to PSVita, now's a good time as any to grab 'em cheap. You can play them on PS3 and PSP, too.

Something to think about. Hit up the PlayStation Store for this week's deals.

Red Ash Kickstarters - Game Fails, Anime Funded

Aaaaand done. Red Ash: The Indeible Legend failed to reach its $800,000 goal, peaking at just $519,999 from backers. Nevertheless the game will be made but without additional content offered in stretch goals. On the contrary, the anime's campaign was a success. Red Ash -Magiciada- by Studio 4℃ succeeded its initial goal with a grand total of $162,882 from backers. The animated short will run 18 minutes in length.

So in the end, the better managed Kickstarter succeeded. The takeaway from this? Don't rush your campaign.

Not all Kickstarters have a happy ending. A well planned out, timely produced campaign lasts and hopefully succeeds. A bad one not only fails but becomes an example of how not to fail. The Indelible Legend will be held in this regard, for better or worse.

What a journey.

What's Going on With Mighty No. 9's Release Date? (Updated x3)

So I wasn't going to address this until Comcept or Deep Silver came forward... but I don't think that's gonna happen at this time. So here we are: Game Informer and Destructoid confirmed with their sources at GameStop (Game Informer's parent company) that Mighty No. 9 has been delayed to 2016.
