Mega Man #55 Delayed to December 2nd

The final issue of Archie Comics' Mega Man was supposed to hit newsstands on Wednesday, November 18th. However, the official Archie Comics Twitter reveals issue #55 has been delayed by to Wednesday, December 2nd. A three week delay.

Archie did not provide a reason for the delay, though they "promise it will be worth the wait!" Without much to go on, all we can do is speculate. Trouble with the printers? Panels need some extra polish? Has the hiatus been cancelled? Who knows!

If we hear anything else we'll let you know. Hang tight!

  1. The Mega Man cycle begins anew... Soon enough, the entire issue will be canceled. Just you watch.

    P.S.
    That was sarcasm.

    1. I choose to view and accept those words without the sarcasm. Because I believe those are true words.

  3. Announcements of delays for Mega Man media have historically been followed by announcements of cancellations.

They probably need three weeks to try and figure out to spin that to sound positive.

    1. Game-wise yes, but not for printed media. Udon often delayed their books, but they were always released.

  4. A small, idealistic part of me really hopes this means the comic is about to be revived, but I doubt it. Something tells me they wouldn't waste much time in announcing the "hiatus" was over if that was actually the case, but who knows? I just hope this comic really could somehow be "worth the wait", although considering all the possibilities this comic had, it's really sad to see it go.
