Enjoy the Mega Man Music of Super Smash Bros.

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS will see a release in internationally in a matter of weeks. But of course, there are other ways to enjoy it until then, such as rocking out to some tunes. YouTube has quickly become home to a majority of the game's soundtrack - we'll share with you the four Mega Man pieces. If you don't want to be spoiled, I suggest you move on!

Of note, this is everything from the 3DS version... there's a chance additional pieces will be added to Smash for Wii U. Gotta wait and find out!

Thanks for the tip, Travis.

  1. Is that Mega Man 2 stage medley really in the game? What a laughable, lazy route to take. I swear, Mega Man just can't move away from 8-Bit and Mega Man 2, can he? I won't lie, over time it's become more prominent, and more annoying. Thank friggin' christ some composer redid Spark Man's theme. While Air Man sounds pretty good, hopefully there are some more tracks outside the Mega Man 2 spectrum.

    1. You'll be waiting until the Wii U version for that. Because that's pretty much all the 3DS is offering tune wise.

    2. Most franchises in Smash get old music ported directly for kicks not just Mega Man.

For that matter all of Kirby's music in the game minus one song is straight up ripped from the first Game Boy game.

    3. I just wish that 4-8 weren't always left at the wayside when it comes to music....

    4. I couldn't agree more, Cyberguy. Tons more quality tunes to use and appreciate and like 1st Anon says, I figured the Wii U version would surely have a larger selection. Here's hoping there's some great remixes ahead. *crosses fingers Noriyuki Iwadare got his hands one one lol*

    5. I'm with you guys. Mega Man 2 music is great and all but 4-8 + RF + RMW5 need some serious love.

    6. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Mega Man music is too good to only rely on Mega Man 2 music, with the occasional use of 1 and 3.

Why leave out MM9 and 10 music Cyberguy64 and Shin Star? I hardly every see their music being used officially, and in my opinion they have some of the most fantastic pieces of music.

    7. Also Mega Man Battle & Chase had good music. I mean they did put Mario Kart, Sonic R and Kirby Air Ride music before, it wouldn't be weird.

    8. Because 9-10 are recent and haven't been left out as much as the ones I listed.

  2. Some of these aren't of the best audio quality, unfortunately. I'll wait until GilvaSunner finishes uploading the soundtrack before I start listening to them religiously.

  3. Only CLASSIC Mega Man Music? Damn it! I wanted X Vs Zero from Mega Man X5... :(

    1. That track is so overrated.

    2. I don't think X vs Zero is (even if I wouldn't put it in this game cause it doesn't fit) overrated at all, but I definitely think Wily Castle 2-MM2 is overrated (heavily overrated) and most importantly OVERUSED. Air Man is a good tune, but its getting to that point. Spark Man is a great tune, tho it too should not go the path of over usage (don't push it).

    3. Only the classic series is present as a playable character, stage and assist trophy, while X, Volnutt, EXE and SF are only cameos. Why would you expect music from other series to be used? (Unless they used a short medley during his Final Smash... Now I want to hear one! :P)

It seems each stage (and thus most series) only have about 4 tracks in the 3DS... Here hopes the Wii U has more to offer, as there are lots of good themes that can be remixed or joined in a medley. To name a few: Cut Man, Metal Man, Flash Man, Snake Man, Drill Man, Skull Man, Gravity Man, Tomahawk Man, Slash Man, Sword Man, Tengu Man, Tornado Man, Nitro Man, Solar Man, some bosses, final stages, title screens, endings, and the themes of Proto Man and Bass.

    4. "as there are lots of good themes that can be remixed or joined in a medley. To name a few:"

All Mega Man music ever created. With the exception of very few, they're all good. Just randomly pick a game and a stage or something and you can't go wrong, unless you absolutely suck at remixing or arrangements.

  4. That... that title music piece is wrong Protodude. It was already confirmed to be a part of a medley that includes the Wily castle theme. Whoever uploaded that goofed badly.

  5. It's ironic, that this, THIS, the one with my favorite video game game series represented with one of my favorite characters of all time, this is the Smash that happens to make me despise Smash Bros. And yes I've played it. There are so many things to say that I'm not even gonna say much more, except, man I use to like this series, what happened?(rhetorical)

    1. Why do you not like this iteration exactly?

  6. I was hoping for more variety in the music selection.

I still love the 8-bit era of Megaman, but I do wish that the overrated Megaman 2 didn't always get the lion's share of representation, gameplay-wise and musically. Hopefully Wii U has a broader selection of tunes.

  7. Ulk... I'm serious when I say that this is a very disappointing "assortment". Two tunes (and a medley) from Mega Man 2, one from Mega Man 3, and they're all electric guitar-bage, not unlike the Rise of the Triad (2013) soundtrack. And though it may be hypocritical to ask, no Wily Castle theme(s)? Despite the fact Megaman's stage is Wily Castle?? What gives??

Oh well... At least Megaman himself is cool, in this game.

    1. Yeah right, that garbage tier character that can't do nothing worth a damn right in this game. Except maybe look cute (like a baby), and rep his series. I know not everything is about competition but dammit it sucks to lose so much I'm forced to switch to (shivers) "Mii Fighters", which turns out I do a lot better with.

Also as long as it's not WC2-MM2 I agree there should be a WC theme in there.

    2. While he is surely a bit awkward, the key, you see, is to become better. =P

      Delete
    3. Yeah well the key is fun, and it ain't fun working much harder than everyone else for the win. It's not like say his moveset is awkward, it's the guy has super long unsafe recovery on nearly everything, it sucks just to run away as your game plan.

Why is Zero good in everything, then Mega Man sucks.

    4. Actually, that MM2 intro tune is wrong. It's part of a MM2 Medley that includes the WC theme, and in fact part of it was uploaded to the smash site which confirms it's supposed to be there. The uploader thought they'd be clever and rip the intro part from the site since that's the complete part of the medley there.

    5. @Anon3: Either way I think he meant a WC theme on its own.

  8. Not bad, but I hope for some more recent tracks in the Wii U version... How about Tomahawk, Slash or Tornado?
