Six Mega Man Games On 3DS VC In May; Vote Which Comes First

A grand total of six Mega Man games are finally due to hit the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console in North America. The four remaining classic Game Boy Mega Man titles and Mega Man Xtreme 1&2 are being prepared to release in May, and both Capcom Unity and Nintendo want you to decide which launches first.

Vote in the poll at this Capcom Unity post by April 14th, 10am PT to voice your choice. The game with the most votes will hit the Virtual Console on May 1st. After that, the remaining games will be released each Thursday in May. Fittingly, they're dubbing this event as "Mega May."

The results of the poll are hidden now but just an hour or so ago, Mega Man V was rocking the vote. It's certainly one of (if not the) best among the lot... but will it come out on top?

  1. God, I wouldn't know what to choose. I gotta admit, I am gearing towards V, as well.

  2. Oh nice, almost a full year since they said they were "coming soon".

  3. But... there's... only... five Thursdays in May...!

Anyway, wouldn't it make the most sense to just release them chronologically? It'd be less messy and confusing, too. And coincidentally, my favorite Game Boy Mega Man game would be the first to be released this way. :>

  4. Meh. The last time I played I~V back-to-back, I remember V feeling significantly easier than the rest. Especially the bosses. Am I wrong?

  5. Well, looks like I will be getting Megaman V

  6. I rather Megaman V for one reason: It was brand new game and not ported from NES/FC versions at all. Thats why I prefer Megaman V.

  7. When I last saw it, it was 30% for Xtreme, 27% for V. I suppose it might have changed after that though. One thing I noticed that's probably not a coincidence is that the picture for that post was of Xtreme and Megaman V. They probably predicted that those would be the most voted for.
