Kotobukiya is back with their first Rockman-focused live show in over two years, and it had a lot to live up to. We didn’t just get updated details on kits that are already up for pre-order—we also finally saw the full reveal of that mystery design that’s been fueling speculation since it was first teased.
After the break, we will break down everything we learned from tonight's show.
Tonight's show started with extensive coverage of all the model kits that are currently on pre-order: Iris (releasing May 2026), X1 Zero (releasing February 2026), Sigma (releasing June 2026), MegaMan.EXE (reissue), Mega Man 11 Mega Man (Reissue), and Mega Man X Third Armor (Reissue). Aside from some new stock photos for the unreleased kits, we got to see a few goodies.
First off, we got a look at Iris' box art. Seeing the art for these kits is almost half the fun, and this didn't disappoint! The pose and likeness are spot-on. Keisuke Mizuno hit this one out of the park.
A week before his actual release, we get to see X1 Zero's box art, what a dynamic pose! For those (like me) that wanted to see this design in Rockman X DiVE just for new official art, this is a real treat.
We got a better look at Sigma's cape. It seems like it will come in multiple pieces, allowing for more range and posing options. Time to put that sense & skill to work.
And with that, the show was brought to a close. Or so we thought. Because the show started back up with a long-awaited reveal.
At long last, the mystery kit has finally been revealed, and I don't think anyone saw this coming! It's a super-detailed, original take on the Fourth Armor! This release will be part of Kotobukiya’s Decoction Model line, a premium series known for its larger-scale kits.
We can see here that this guy is extremely tall when compared to the normal release of the Fourth Armor. In fact, this kit is taller than Sigma! It's styled very similarly to the previous Ver.KE designs. Parts of the kit's armor can open up, too!
This kit also signals something bigger: toy-exclusive designs are officially in play. Up until now, the assumption was that Kotobukiya could only produce figures based strictly on in-game appearances. If that limitation’s off the table, it opens up some pretty interesting possibilities for what could come next.
Surprisingly, that ended up being the only brand-new reveal at the show. Nothing here quite lined up with my personal bingo card, but finally seeing the mystery kit unveiled was still a welcome surprise.
It does make you wonder whether future kits might just drop out of nowhere like Iris and X1 Zero did, or if Kotobukiya is planning another dedicated live event. Here’s hoping we don’t have to wait until 2028 for the next big moment.
