Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection Wins Future Division Award at TGS 2025

The Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) announced the winners of the 2025 Japan Game Award Future Division during this year’s Tokyo Game Show. A total of eleven upcoming games were recognized as highly anticipated software, chosen through public voting and further evaluated by the Japan Game Awards Selection Committee. Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection was among the recipients, with producer Shino Izumi and Rockman Unity’s Ucchy-san appearing on stage to accept the award.

This marks the fifth time a Mega Man title has earned the honor, following Battle Network 3 in 2002Battle Network 5 in 2004, Mega Man 11 in 2018, and Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection in 2022

Each of those titles went on to achieve commercial success in Japan and overseas, making the Future Division Award something of an indicator of strong sales. Here's hoping Star Force Legacy Collection will carry the momentum forward.
