Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection Details - Display Options, Turn Off Random Encounters, Online Play and More

Following today's new Tokyo Game Show trailer, Rockman Unity has taken to Twitter to expand upon a number of Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection features outlined in the trailer...

Assist Options - From the options menu, you can adjust the enemy encounter rate — even turning it off completely. Geo’s running speed can be increased, and the Mega Buster’s power can be boosted up to 500%. You’ll also find options to guarantee escapes from battles, always receive Zenny as a reward, automatically restore HP after fights, and reveal the locations of EX bosses.

Screen Layout - The dual-screen layout can be customized to your liking, with options to adjust the placement and ratio of each screen. A “free camera” feature can also be toggled with the right control stick, though details on this weren’t elaborated. We may hear more about it from TGS demo impressions.

High Resolution Filter - Like Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection before it, Star Force Legacy Collection includes the option to turn on a high resolution filter.

Event Exclusive Battle Cards - Battle Cards that were once exclusive to Japan through events and merchandise will now be easily accessible. However, Rockman Unity notes that certain cards won’t be included—though which ones has yet to be revealed.

Online Battles - Players can take part in ranked or casual online battles to earn Battle Points. Online opponents can also be registered as Brothers, with a limit of up to 100.

Music Player - In addition to the OSTs from the three games, newly arranged tracks can be listened to from the Music Player. The new tracks can even be listened to in-game!

More details from the collection are expected as Tokyo Game Show approaches, so stay tuned for demo impressions.

Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is slated to release in 2026 for Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series and PC.

  2. Well they’re uh, certainly making it accessible.

I still don’t understand the filters, especially when it becomes a Where’s Waldo page to find the differences. At least the free camera is neat.

  3. "Online opponents can also be registered as Brothers, with a limit of up to 100." I really hope this is not a requirement to open some secret doors in Star Force 2. In the original game, you needed some extra Brothers not provided by offline content to open some doors in the post-game adventure.

Also, also, I really wish they would fix the star cards collection on Star Force 2. Ranking high on big virus to get their star variants was fine, however, having to depend either on Gold Mystery Datas or Card Traders to obtain some of the most elusive ones was quite a pain.

  4. As a manga artist seeing this again makes me happy!
