  2. That was quite enjoyable. Wasn't expecting it to turn out the way it did.

  3. I have conflicted feelings with Death Battle. At first, I liked the crazy research and analysis they put into making these videos. The thing is, that they favored their own analysis over official information given by the sources and that wasn't a fair comparison, in my opinion. The only example I've got at hand is of the Mega vs Astro Death Battle, where they stated Mega Man's maximum output to be around 60.000rpm (iirc), whereas official info says it's 1500ps/1200rpm. When they have to make information for things that are not given, I think its fine and ultimately necessary to compare but when there is already information about the matter, there is no need to make up numbers. Again, my opinion
If you really like it I won't stop you. I mean, it's just for fun and I never got angry with the results. It's just that I think it isn't a fair analysis that way.
And Over-1 is the strongest Mega Man anyway so... :)

    1. I agree. It's why I stop looking at the info they give and only look at who wins by their account.

    2. But in that example, wouldn't that be Mega Man's initial rpm? He had several upgrades as time passed, and that output may not be off. It may be even higher now that he has the Power Gear.

    3. That's a fair point. The only times I know that has been described are in the Rockman Character Collection (1991) and the Rockman & Rockman X Daizukan (1994). I don't remember any of the two specifying if those were his numbers at the beginning of the journey or from the latest game. Unless there was info we were missing, that opens the door for speculation and for bigger numbers like you say.
Would liked the guys at Death Battle to at least justify their number saying something like you did but I remember them making the number only based in the ending of MM5.

    4. The issue is that they selectively use info. Like they use the games but, also the manga and the anime. Which is, as far as I know, not cannon.if you are going to use info keep it from a consistent source.

    5. True. Also, for the output, one must take into account the material's weight:
      https://youtu.be/YuIkYXtiudw?t=118
And that may be his default output in a safe setting. What if Mega "overclocked" himself to avoid being smashed? And while unlikely, he may have Super Arm's strength imbued into his default abilities (that looks heavier than the MM1 blocks), similar to how X got a dash after X1 and Zero a double jump after X4.

  4. What i really wanted to see was how X in his elf form would fight BN is there any info about X elf form abilities??

  5. Doesn't X have infinite potential and isn't that the justification they used for Superman and Goku, only difference being one is seeing the potential develop over time through story while the other one is symbolized through theming as idealised iconicism, of which X falls under both? Also it is a bit weird that they draw from so many sources of canon across different at times conflicting continuity mediums but at the same token ignore some that can change the balance of things, entirely.

Ah whatever kinda sick of Death Battle to be honest, purely based on its premise completely devoid of its actual substance of which I am just apathetic towards.

    1. The infinite potential thing is more of a tool for the official works writers.
But just because a character can supposedly do anything doesn't mean they have officially done everything.

    2. well, don't know for sure since i had'nt seen any death battle before this one. but from what i have heard of the superman case, they used a incarnation of Superman who had achieved this potential from a comic, albeit a alternate continuity one.
X cannonically have unlimited potential, but we did'nt see him use it beyond a certain point in a game proper. (i'd say he probably didduring the Elf-wars, considering what he can do after being reduced to a "spirit" in MMZ3, but we did'nt get to see it.)

  6. That was entertaining, and I suppose it makes sense. I'm just not a fan of EXE or StarForce so I would have liked X to take it, but I now understand why he didn't. Those guys seem a bit over powered.

  9. Deathbattle is notorious for Hodgepodging information and making wild guesses. Like DK and his strength based on punching the 'moon'. What they needed to do was draw only from the games, or anime's, or manga. But not all sources at once. Especially as the contradict each other. Their whole 'remake' the world thing with Battle Network's Megaman is limited to a digital plane and wouldn't have any affect on a physical one with out significant EM radiation. Then we have the true king of broken, Starforce's Megaman that is basically seen as immune to anything normally with in the physical plane and can just teleport, phase shift, etc. Not to mention the brother band's, noise, etc. They also neglected a lot with X such as Force Metals', Cyber Elf powers, etc. Also avoiding using Aile/Vent in the whole ordeal is also kind of not right of them considering they are Megamen and particularly Model X one's that just use the power of their X form to adapt other model's. All in all, greatly disappointing and shows their lack of researching and wild speculating once again. Why people expect anything more than this from them, is kind of amusing since they never are really accurate and are done for controversial entertainment more than anything else.

Besides we fans know who the best Megaman is. It's the one that holds that special place in our hearts. THAT is the true best Megaman, be it Classic or X, Zx or Legends, Battle Network or Starforce, or... even XOver. Which ever Megaman is that one that holds that special nostalgia for you, is the one who is really the best. Don't let these badly researched deathbattle's tell you otherwise!

  10. While X and Zero are my personal favorite, i'd say it make sense that the win go to one of the network timeline Megamen.

  11. Kinda ehh, over 20 mins of talking for a 3 min battle that felt like it was missing lots of stuff.
    Better than nothing, I suppose...

  12. FYI the anime MMBN is not canon. The games does not even feature fusions.

    1. I think they had arcade games that featured it. It is canon either way by the way just not to the game continuity.

    1. OSS has a completed English translation patch that came out last year I believe.

  14. Is this novemdecillion x the speed of light something .EXE can do at will? Can he do these universe busting feats outside of the cyber world? Why couldn't X just use Dark Hold to freeze him in time and fire continuous charged shots? Couldn't Geo just become intangible? Voulnutt should've put up more of a fight than that. He may not be the most powerful Mega Man but they made him look like a complete chicken. I feel like the Mega Man franchise was sorely misrepresented in this video.

This battle left a bad taste in my mouth. I've been watching Death Battle since Pikachu vs Blanka back in 2012 and I've never been this disappointed. I know researching, analyzing, debating, and animating five combatants for one fight can be draining. But speaking as someone who wanted a Mega Man Battle Royale, if this is what we got I'd rather have not gotten it at all.

    1. Agreed, very underwhelming.

    2. Exe can do those feats at will depending on what time frame, as he unlocks these abilities, even then these are theoretical(s) based on maximum abilities, demonstrated by feats and other such accomplishments or descriptions.

The problem is he can only do certain things in certain canons, in the manga he can do some speed feats he can't in the games and viceversa, the cyber world is a universe and not just simply computer data in all three but .exe can only move between worlds at will in two continuities the other only in certain conditions with an ability handicap.

That's the real problem, they are pulling sources from essentially 3 different Mega Man characters and acting as if they are one. Exe would still win though I think save for maybe the game version hinging on the details of his abilities to cross worlds ALL Mega Man main characters HAX (except Volnutt so far) but .exe literally ha(ck)x.

  16. Your positivity about this is, in a word, astounding, Protodude. The battle was the worst kind of fan fiction I've seen since the whole "Zero did the Cataclysm" fan theory. Whoever made it clearly didn't take everything into consideration – things such as how the Super Adapter actually works. It's really baffling, considering that Wiz and Boomstick clearly did the research. But, this is about the level of neglect I've come to expect since the "Dr. Eggman vs. Dr. Wily" debacle, a while back. (Both sides got shafted, there, but Dr. Wily's forces, more-so.)
