Latest Mega Man Battle Network Chrono X Demo to Deliver Online Multiplayer

The fifth demo build of fan-game Mega Man Battle Network Chrono X will be available to download on March 18th. Version 5 includes a number of changes from revamped graphics and new chips, to brand-new bosses (Pirate Man and Cactus Man) and "MeMENTO" transformations.

The most significant addition to V5, however, is online multiplayer. This long awaited feature doesn't require Hamachi or any third party software to play – it's all done in-app! What's more, you can square off against players from different devices. In other words, if you're playing on PC your opponent might be playing from their smartphone a whole country away. Pretty nifty, yeah?

All this can be seen in the new trailer above. Check it out when you've got a couple minutes to spare! Stay up to date on all the Chrono X happenings via the project's official website, Facebook, Twitter or Discord channel.

  1. Is this game a fan made or translation from Japan game that never released in America/Europe?

    2. Operation Shooting Star was just a port with an added sidequest. But this is a whole new game!

  2. When MM.EXE transformed into that Quickman.EXE form he may look like Quickman but he definitely just took Sonic the Hedgehog's character.

  5. Sorry, I don't know if Blogger ate my comment...

Since it's been a month, Bryan, did the Capcom social media rep follow up about "showing fans that fan games are allowed"?

    1. Would you stop poking the bear? Capcom has no care about fangames. They don't outright say it, but IF they did, MegaMaker, Megaman Arena, Quints Revenge, Megaman X nightshade, would all have a C&D. The fact that they don't shows that capcom intentionally turns a blind eye to them. Stop trying to create an issue you soggy biscuit.
