Mega Man Battle Network 3 Rated For Wii U Virtual Console

Mega Man battle Network 3 appears to be heading to the Wii U Virtual Console. New ratings for both Blue and White versions appeared on the Australian OFLC Database today signaling a feature release. At this time, there has been no sighting of Battle Network 1 or 2.

If an official announcement is made by Capcom, we’ll be sure to let you know. Feel free to get excited, though. This could be the first sign of more GBA Mega Man titles bound for Wii U!

  4. It's not a new game buti think, it's VERY POSITIVE to see how capcom can see an important thing in Rockman EXE/Battle Network serie!!!

  5. I only ever played the first one. I'd prefer to get them in sequence...

  6. Capcom, this isn't how this works! Normally anyway. But I've heard super-great things about this specific entry into the series, so maybe it's a super smart move on their part...

    1. Yeah, for many EXE 3 is tops of the line for the series itself. Plus, if it gets people interested, I could see them cherry-picking various versions to put on the console itself. (If we're going with pretty much universally liked entries, I could see them doing 2, 3, 5 and 6) 1's been known to have some pretty bad game-breaking sections and 4.... many people pretend it doesn't exist.

    2. I actually gave the first game a third chance not too long ago. ... is it just me, or does the game's difficulty really spike after dealing with Stoneman.EXE? (Then again, I put all four PowerUps into Rapid rather than Charge or Power, so it probably is my fault.)

    3. Yeah, by that point, you'll normally have a much better folder but you can still get your butt handed to you pretty easily.

  7. I hope they use the brighter sprites from Battle Net 4 up

    1. No, they won't. Because this is Battle Network 3.

    2. I personally feel the graphics, at least on the field, took a step back starting with 4.

    3. MegaMac, agreed.

    4. I like the Brightness and vividness of the colors, but I mean, I can see why you hate it, Clown Man stage.

  8. I'd like multiplayer for this, if possible.

I just feel that you're missing a large chunk of the fun of EXE or Shooting Star games when you don't have the multiplayer.

    HeatBug and WoodShield FTW

  9. I don't understand why they start with the 3rd installment rather than the 1st.

  10. I think I'm one of the few people who don't like BN3. I'm trying to play through it now, and all of the design choices feel terrible compared to 2, 5, and 6. I don't like navigating the net, the way you progress through the story (mandatory side quests? Really?), or how the Navi Customizer was used in its debut. I dunno, maybe it's just me.

  11. 3 is a really good pick!

One of the problems with 4 and up is that it uses some Boktai content (some of which partially was removed in 6's English localization), and I'm not sure if Capcom is able/willing to strike up a new contract with Konami to see a rerelease happening.

The other problem with 4 and up is... well... they're 4 and up, haha. I did like 6 for the most part though.

  12. Known Fact: the clock in this game stops counting at 99:99. I poured soooo much time into this on GBA lol :D

    1. Really? That's interesting. I think it goes beyond that for at least 6, but I'm assuming the same happens in 4 and 5, too. Interesting quirk.

  13. BN3? As much as I liked to start with the first one, I'm glad to hear this one was rated first. BN3 was more or less my "re"entry with the Megaman series (as beforehand at the time never played the older games but saw the Ruby Spears cartoon when I was young).

Can't wait to play this again if and when it's released.

    That's great to hear.
