Here's All of the Neat (and Unusual) Mega Man Toys From Toy Fair 2019

There weren't too many new Mega Man products on display at this year's New York Toy Fair. What was there, however, was... well, you'll see.

First up, Mega Man and Proto Man "grin statues" designed by contemporary artist Ron English. Mega Man's mold is based on his Mega Man 11 design. No word on price, release date, or availability. (Image credit: Plastic Empire, duffdaz)

Next, here's a "soft statue" Mega Man (left) and a mini Mega Man display figure (right). The soft statue is being produced by Minted Labs, who are reportedly developing a number of Capcom-themed soft statues. They have a Nemesis figure coming out later this year. If Mega Man will be anything like Nemesis, it will feature 16-points of articulation, balls joints, and fully sewn clothing. As for the mini Mega Man display figure, no information is available at this time. (Image credit: FakeEyes22, Adrian)

Jakks Pacific's Mega Man: Fully Charged toyline was on full display. Although we've seen all of these figures before, Guts Man here is new. You can see more images at Toy Hype USA.

So, what do you think? Anything cat your eye and/or wallet?

  1. That's... A bit of a letdown. Oh well, at least we've got some neat stuff coming in the future from the east.

  3. Well seeing as I have the hots for Guts Man, his Fully Charged figure might be a want for me. I think those Ron English statues are pure garbage though. Does he put those idiotic grins on everything he produces?

  4. Did I miss where Megaman fans were crying out for Ron English variants? I guess good for Ron English fans....

The cloth Megaman is kind of cool.

  5. Those Grin figures look really good, mold-wise. I mean, I'd hope, at least for these Mega Man figures, that they would come with a regular face to swap out with the grin face. I'm also really liking that soft figure for some reason. Really reminds me of older, antique dolls. I can dig it. That mini figure is a no brainer. Kinda makes me wonder what became of that Totaku Mega Man figure...

    Gotta start savin'!

  6. Those grins look terrifying, why can't we have cute mega Man dolls that talk or glow in the dark and say 'rock on' or 'rock and roll'.

    1. If Capcom decides to give Mega Man a charming catchphrase, maybe that would happen.

  7. Wow, those statues look amazing except for their terrifying grin.
Why would they do that to a perfectly good blue bomber?

    1. Doesn't make sense. Would be nice if there was some thematic elements to the rest of the design. Seems lazy to just slap a grin on Mega Man and call it a day. How about some rust, wires showing, corrosion, idk.

  10. Why should Capcom release such a devilish/momois looking Mega Man like that?
There is NO reason for such thing at all!!! :(

  11. The figures with the sharp, toothy grins look almost as if Baraka decided to cosplay as Mega Man and Proto Man.
