X-Plus Gigantic Series Rockman Reissue Announced

In 2015, X-Plus released what was, at the time, the largest commercially available Rockman figure as part of its Gigantic Series. Standing 14 inches tall, the figure has been out of print for years, but later this summer, it’s getting another shot.

E-Capcom has announced a reissue of the figure, scheduled to ship in late July for 16,500 yen (about $103 USD). This is the same release as the original 2015 version, complete with the alternate helmetless head part. The price is also notably lower than what it typically goes for on the secondhand market. As an added bonus, E-Capcom is including a rubber keychain featuring a cute chibi-style Rockman.

Right now, the reissue appears to be exclusive to E-Capcom, though that could change. If it doesn’t, international buyers will need to order through ZenMarket, which serves as E-Capcom’s preferred proxy service. UPDATE: Pre-orders up on Big Bad Toystore.

  1. thank goodness! these things are like minimum $300 for the less desirable ones! I hope we get reissues of X and especially X style zero, that one rarely is on sale and goes for a few $1000s

  2. As somebody who will always be a fan first and a collector second, I love it when scalpers have to take an L.

  3. BBTS has these up for pre-order at US$119 before tax. When I ordered mine over 10 years ago it was pretty close to US$200 after tax and shipping, so this price is nice to see. It's been one of my favorite display pieces (without the helmet, of course) for many years.

If people want it sooner, and with the ... key-chain: X-Plus has their own international direct-sales website called "SHONEN-RIC as X-Plus," and it's under $100 there ... but after shipping to the US it's currently US$160.

I hope they reissue all the Gigantic Rockman figures, even though I have them all. The exclusive version of Zero with the buster is definitely one of the "grails" in my collection, and it would be great for others to be able to get it at a reasonable price; Shonen-Ric will definitely be the place to watch for that.
