NebulaJoy’s Rockman: Time Rift May Be Nearing End of Service

Rockman: Time Rift, the Mainland Chinese version of Rockman X DiVE operated by NebulaJoy, may already be on its last legs—just a month after launch. According to player reports, the second month’s Battle Pass is no longer being updated, NebulaJoy’s customer support has gone silent on tickets and direct messages, and official social media channels have ceased updates.

Originally announced in late 2024, Time Rift launched just recently and was met with skepticism from the start. While it’s largely similar to the Capcom Taiwan and Global versions of Rockman X DiVE, it introduced a handful controversial changes—such as a revamped gacha system, paywalled banners, and altered pull rates. A full breakdown of those differences can be found here.

Although the end of service has not been officially confirmed, the signs are hard to ignore. For many players, this isn’t surprising—nor unwelcome. Time Rift has faced strong backlash for monetization practices even more aggressive than those in Capcom’s versions. And with Rockman X DiVE Offline already available in Mainland China, there’s little reason to invest in what many see as another poorly handled NebulaJoy product.

  1. Well, that didn't last very long. Not that I'm complaining. :V

  2. In other news, Resident Evil 9 has been announced. Remember when "Taisen" was leaked before RE8 was even announced? I do.

    1. Yes, and it was said to come out in 2022 maybe (taisen) and I was rightfully skeptical of the rumors, but Protodude was very confident. Looks like my doubt was a smart position to take. At this point, with MM, I will believe it when I see it. Even video clips have to be doubted these days more with all the fan made clips people make now of movies on youtube to deceive others (fake previews). Like when some people make fake fan made previews of movies not even confirmed in some silly attempt to get people's hopes up, often by splicing together scenes from other movies, if you know what I mean.

    2. I mean, at this point you could be smart to just doubt everything until Capcom actually comes up with a mainline MM game. Like AI videos are coming up next, so it's not like its a revelation in terms of what news to filter. Soon even websites, videos, social media will all be AI generated. So take from that what you will.

    3. I want as little as humanly possible to do with AI but the world insists on ramrodding it down my throat. It's becoming not a daily occurrence but an hourly one.
I'm starting to see AI generated Rockman-esque 3D models. And I hate it.

    4. I meant to post this here but accidentally posted it outside the thread in response to Zephyr:
And I like tech progress and evolving our primitive econ and political systems to match. But we do need a society with critical thinking at its core to match.

    5. I’ll just say: dead internet theory is real, and we all contributed, whether we consented/knew about it or not.

And of course we made the pessimistic Terminator AI before the optimistic Rockman AI.

  3. Reading that Reddit post just makes me realize how little I played Global. I thought “pity/spark” was some kind of super secret extra stat boost thingy, because the game doesn’t have enough of those…

But I’m not surprised Offline is undercutting Mobile. Crossover outfits were meh, and PvP was a joke (and I don’t even like PvP!). Co-op is probably the best exclusive content Mobile offered, but that’s clearly not enough. And this is before taking mods into account. You could pay 60 bucks for Offline and still get better value than Mobile.

  4. Didn't this game released just...recently? New game and it's already dying? That's just pathetic.

  5. I doubt anyone cares. I only recall that name some years ago when a post topic was talking about ZX here and maybe rumors it could be something like a ZX3 but looked like Dive gacha nonsense. Capcom just doesn't get that the main thing most of us want is legit sequels to main timeline games, namely MM, X, ZX, and for some of us, Legends as well. I would even be happy with more sequel series taking place between ZX and Legends. These days, they do anything they can to beat around the bush and avoid focusing on producing the main course. It's very yawn-worth. Even looking at Capcom posts on twitter sometimes, I don't see anything much mentioned of MM much, but I do see some fans rightfully demanding some sequels.

    1. Eh, there has been a game semi-secretly in development for a long time now. We're either gonna hear something about it in the next year or so or they've already scrapped it. Logically I'd bet everything on the latter but I'm always gonna hope

    2. Ah, so it’s super confirmed then. Here I thought it was the opposite, removed because it ended up being fake and trying to curb misinformation.

    4. Damn son, you're getting phone calls from Capcom's legal department?
