Rockman EXE x #COMPASS Crossover Event Announced

Real-Time strategy game #COMPASS unveiled a collaboration with Rockman EXE during a recent livestream event. The crossover event will bring Rockman.EXE and Netto Hikari to the game serving as a "Gunner".

Additionally, six unique EXE-themed collaboration cards and some stylish costumes based on different characters from the series will be included. But wait - there's more! If the above trailer didn't make it apparent enough, the original Japanese voice actors for Netto and Rockman are back, lending their voices to provide some fresh lines for the game!

The Rockman EXE collaboration event is slated to begin on September 25th

  1. I would love to see a new entry into the series with this style of gameplay! If there was a series best suited for full 3D (outside of Legends) I feel like Battle Network makes the most sense.

    1. I don't think there's anything stopping any of the series from working in full 3D. It's all just a matter of implementation, and there's already examples of similar games that play fine in 3D. For example; too many people have it stuck in their head that MMX in 3D would be like X7, but there's nothing stopping it from being more like Metroid Prime (There was actually a canceled game like that) or even the Legends series. There's also that Protodroid Delta game and other similar examples.

  2. Is this the Mega Man Battle Network game Capcom is promising us back in 2020?

    1. it's not a Mega Man Battle Network game. it's a collab event in #Compass. Basically Mega Man characters will guest star in Compass.
Also Capcom never promised a Mega Man Battle Network game in 2020.

  3. If only it were a game and not an app that is available till it shutsdown like all apps. More investment in either time or money for fans that inevitably up and disapears along with all that time and effort / and or money. Some people can touch fire multiple times without learning appearently.

    1. You do realize an app is just short for an application right? In the context of computing an application is just a program, pertaining especially to those added to a system. It's essentially just a software package that performs a specific task or set of tasks. All this is to say that every single game installed into a computer/system is an app essentially, and many software packages (apps) don't expire or "shut down".

    2. When Capcom literally did make an app into a single player game that won't disappear and functions entirely offline with no microtransactions, there were still people protesting it as some kind of scam. With some people nothing is ever enough, Capcom can only ever do wrong, and anyone who doesn't blindly hate Capcom is the second coming of TheSammyClassicSonicFan.

It's not that some people can touch fire multiple times without learning, it's that not everyone is taking everything as though they're being burned. They're not living their lives as perpetual victims that have boogymen living in their head rent free.

    3. Bro stop simping for Capcom ffs man

    4. Nobody's simping for Capcom, just living in reality. The fact that the first thing you think of when someone isn't blindly anti-Capcom is that they're 100% pro-Capcom is the real problem here. Reality isn't so black and white. Is it really so hard for you to accept that someone can be a fan without being cold and jaded?

    5. Your not jaded yet? Give it time.

    6. I've been a fan since the early 2000's and it still hasn't happened yet. Sorry to burst your bubble, but it's going to take more than a vocal minority's conspiracy theories backed by nothing but their own spite to turn me and many others into mindless jaded drones thumping the same "I'm a victim and Capcom is evil and hates the things I like" drum beat that you morons like so much.

At this point, they could literally announce X9 and it wouldn't surprise me if you jaded drones were going on about how it's more proof that Capcom hates Mega Man and that it's a greedy scam to make "sheeple" fork their money over. Nothing is ever enough for you and your ilk and you will never be satisfied until everyone else is as miserable as you are. I'm just glad that most people aren't, and never will be.

    7. Nobody Cares Mega Man Anymore!!!

    8. If nobody cared, there'd be nobody here. Clearly people care enough to the point where they're either jaded or optimistic and argue about it in the comments of every new post here.

    9. You're jaded at others being jaded. How are you any better? "Conspiracy theories"? "I'm a victim and Capcom is evil and hates the things I like"? Where did that even come from? Sounds like that came from your mind. So you believe your own bs then? If anything you sound very miserable in all your replies so far. Look, some take it too far like the guy that ranted on a fan preservation that has nothing to do with Capcom but you aren't helping your case either.

    10. The evidences have been posted many times over at this point. If you haven't seen them by now, that's your own problem. They say Capcom hasn't been communicating about game development. Someone posts a link that proves they have, all they get is "And you actually believe Crapcom?" goalpost moving. They say X DiVE Online wasn't doing well which lead to its cancelation. Someone posts a link about it being a predetermined EoS, all they get is "Well that doesn't prove it wasn't failing" despite them not posting any proof it was, the servers generally being populated and active, and the whales consistently whaling even after the content pool dried up. These types of etc. things keep happening, those who choose to remain jaded and hateful of Capcom always continue to leap to the worst case scenario they can think of regardless.

So yes, the jaded crowd absolutely does barf out BS conspiracy theories constantly to validate their jaded viewpoint regarding Capcom being this huge boogyman that hates Mega Man and its fans, they always treat it as if everything Capcom does is burning them, and anyone who's not on board with their jaded nonsense gets treated like they're "compliant sheeple", bending knee to their corporate overlords just because they're not also acting like victims and/or trying to paint Capcom as this huge bad guy that can do no good.

    11. Capcom has been communicating but you're also ignoring the comments in the comment section of this blog across multiple posts reporting bugs that were never fixed. If you haven't seen them by now, that's your own problem. Nobody knows the circumstances of the EoS unless it was established pre-release then it's not a good look for the game's performance and the service could've been extended. The servers 'generally' being populated claim has never being proven. No data has been provided for how many players were active during a certain amount of time so nobody knows how populated it was. That's a conspiracy theory on your part. Some think Capcom hates the franchise while others think completely different things. Some think Capcom is apathetic while others think they care. That last rant proves that you fell victim to your narrative. Not everyone that's jaded or criticizes Capcom thinks that way. Try to be less emotional. Become wiser.

    12. The circumstances of the EoS got posted in an earlier comments section. It was pre-determined and very specifically stated to have nothing to do with performance or the series director's departure, and also very specifically stated that the game was doing well. You could also plainly see that the servers were populated in-game by interacting with the chat and multiplayer features. You could easily find someone to do co-op with and you didn't get long waiting times in PvP. The PvP was also generally mostly populated by high level people using high tier characters that would wreck you if you weren't similarly prepared, indicating a high level of whaling.

The people who criticize Capcom but aren't acting like they have a victim complex are few and far between on this site. Almost every single person taking the jaded stance here in the past month or so is actively trying to bully others who don't share their deranged point of view. Whenever someone comes up with a point they don't know how to argue against, their default defense is to either just accuse them of hypocrisy as if that were to somehow invalidate what they had to say (it doesn't, it's at best an attempt to share the blame, but they don't seem to realize that) or to accuse them of being stupid and/or submissive to Capcom.

If taking a stance like that makes me "jaded of those who are jaded", I consider that a more valid and worthy position to be in than those who are stubbornly refusing to even entertain the thought that maybe Capcom doesn't actually hate Mega Man and its fans and that maybe they're just a regular business rather than this big evil boogyman that must be opposed at all costs and anyone who isn't with them must be bullied into submission.

    13. This is what I was alluding to earlier:

      https://twitter.com/6d6f636869/status/1706088654773567862?t=Sc8xLCNugRdNvrWAJWKHzA&s=19

Capcom will be taking a very different approach for their mobile strategy going forward. This is a policy that has been on the burner for a long time. Less focus on original and/or gacha titles, more on ports of existing ones.

    14. The Eos being a change in business is a believable answer. Some players being online does not equal it being 'generally' populated. The same 20 players being very frequently online could be applied to your alibi. What matters is their goal of how many players they wanted active during a certain period of time and how many players were actually active during said period. Without the raw numbers the claim is pointless. Unless documents leak is not possible to say one way or the other.

Except they weren't. It wasn't 'very specifically' stated nor how long ago was it determined. All that was provided was internal correspondence and at most the claim that the Eos was determined because of a change of business. Internal correspondence is still not enough considering companies like Disney try to spin failures as successes even in their internal correspondences. That's not concrete data.

Capcom wanted the trendy and braindead gacha crowd, they got them. Enjoy!
