MegaMan.EXE Featured in Capcom Artwork to Support the Japan Volleyball Association

This is an unusual one, isn't it?  But it comes with an explanation and doesn't come as a total surprise to those who keep up with Capcom's activities outside of the video game industry.

Find all the details after the break!

In April 2022 Capcom, entered into a 3-year official sponsorship deal with the Japan Volleyball Association followed by the creation of a Twitter account in December to support the men's and women's Japan volleyball national team.

As the Volleyball Nations League 2023 is just around the corner, set to commence on May 30 in Nagoya, Capcom has unveiled a special artwork to show their support for the Japan national team. The piece aims to boost the team's spirits as they prepare for their first match against the Dominican Republic

The illustration is done by Ryuta Fuse, author of various Monster Hunter manga and the traditional Capcom Calendars. The illustration features Luke and Chun-Li from Street Fighter, Leon S. Kennedy from Resident Evil, Palico and Rathalos from Monster Hunter and of course, MegaMan.EXE.

People attending the FIVB Volleyball Nations League 2023 Tournament in Nagoya will have the chance to get various free goods at Capcom's booth. If you pay close attention to the image above, you will see that the goods not only display the art from the main illustration but also an alternative pose for every character!

  1. The idea of playing volleyball with a Rathalos is the most over the top thing about this.
