Mega Man Unlimited Updated - Challenge Mode, Omega Bosses

By way of Tony Ponce, word has it that Mega Man Unlimited has received a nifty little update update. Version 1.2.2 brings Challenge Mode and its subsequent modes, Omega Bosses and Perfect Robot Master battle.

In Omega battles, each boss is enveloped in a powerful aura that boosts their strength and speed. If you beat an Omega form, their weapon in the main game will have its energy consumption halved. Perfect Robot Master battkes, meanwhile, are self explanatory - beat each bot without getting hit, Mega Buster only.

Give it a whirl here.

  1. Looks like Mira and Towa visited this timeline as well... Where's Time Patrol Trunks when you need him?

    Sorry-not sorry~

  2. It's worthless and waste your time. They need to move to Megaman Unlimited 2 for a new bosses and new enemies with old enemies like tradition Capcom team does.

    1. Well if he starts now he can be done by 2020 if how long it took the original to be done is any indication...

Still be finished before Corrupted though.

    3. It's a lot of work making a game. The game engine is done though, so I'd figure more like two years for a sequel, if he does one (which I doubt).

  3. I'd like to see it available on Mac at some point so I can play it as well. Likely won't happen, but I'll still wait anyway.

  4. It is sad to see that difficulty comes first before fun. I'm a big Mega Man fan and I tried to play this, but it killed the fun for me. I stick with the old games, because they are not this difficult.

    1. That's a problem with fan games and hacks in general since they're made by fans of the franchise they tend not to balanced well since the lunatics are running the asylum as it were.

    3. It is sad, because the levels do have some neat mechanics to them. I found the robot masters to be a little...lame. Yo-yo man is bad enough, but Rainbow man? No comment. :)

    4. In the robot masters defense, the classic series does have its fair share of silly robot masters. Bubble Man, Top Man... Sheep Man, The likes of Rainbow man fit in. As for the game, I do enjoy it even if I would wish that more checkpoints were added. I understand the criticisms it gets but the robot master stages felt fair... Wily 4 on the other hand yeah, it was a nightmare.
