X-Plus Toys' Gigantic-Sized Mega Man Available to Pre-order

A few weeks back we got an early look at X-Plus Toys' new Gigantic Mega Man figure. Today it's up for pre-order. Right now, Amiami is offering the figure for 21% off the standard retail price: just ¥6,620 Yen (roughly $55.90 US). It's expected to ship in late March.

The figure stands roughly at roughly 33cm tall, or about 13 inches. The body is composed of soft plastic with transparent plastic making up the Mega Buster power strip and helmet "ears." An alternate head sans helmet is included in the package.

  1. Gonna be honest, could care less for another figure. At this point I'd prefer another artbook just for a change of pace.

    1. I think you meant that you "could NOT care less," because when you say "could care less" it means that you still care a little.

      I like it and pre-ordered it; it's well-priced, and is well-sculpted.

    2. I mean I do still care, it's not like I hate the thing, but yeah you're right, should have put the n't in I suppose. I just want something different from time to time, and a game apparently is out of the question.

    3. Obviously you care if you're willing to take the time to check a site like this and post a message.

As for a game: Mighty No.9 is coming out very soon! I know it's not technically Rockman/Mega Man, but from what I've seen (and played) Keiji Inafune has given us what we've all been asking for: a new action/platform game in the vein of Rockman; it's pretty much as close as he can get to making another Rockman game without CAPCOM suing him.

Hopefully it will do so well that CAPCOM will pull their heads out of their butts and ask him to continue the series we all know and love along-side Mighty No. 9.

  2. They managed to get this one right on the first try.

    It looks pretty good.

  3. Brilliant figure/statue. Looks just right. Great paint, great size, great proportions, nice swappable piece, and not to mention a fair price for the quality.

I have one question, though. Is this ever going to be a "Mega Man" branded product? Either way, I'm considering hopping on this pre-order deal while the gettins good.

  4. Pre-ordered.
If the final product matches the promo image, I'll have no complaints.
But soft plastic... sad to say, it's very likely that some day these statues will start turning green.
Collectors may have noticed that their Jazwares Megaman figures have started turning green by now.

    1. Indeed, only my Mega Man Retro Roto has started greening a tad. Curiously only the top half. Legs are fine.

It'll probably be like the recent 25th anniversary prize figures.

    2. Well there's one thing at least you'll end up with a decent Captain N tribute figure if that happens ;)

  5. I've got to have this figure, it looks leagues better than the capcom statue and first 4 figures statues.

  6. I pre ordered it using Pay Pal. I thought with Pay Pal they are suppose to charge right away... I'm guessing it's done differently with this site???

    1. At the completion of my order they said they would request payment via PayPal when the item was ready to ship.

Though this is clearly from Japan, I know in the USA it's customary to not charge for an item until it is on its way to the customer; most of the time when I pre-order physical goods (like from Amazon, etc.) the merchant waits until the ship date to charge.

    2. Most of the time when I use Pay Pal they usually charge right away even if it's a pre order. Capcom did this with the statues when I pre ordered them at the time. That's why I wasn't sure about this pre order because I'm used to being charged right away. At least now I know for sure about this site.

  7. Pre-ordered mine, as well. This offer is way too good to pass up!

  8. What's up with the buttcheeks?

  9. I'll never be doing this again. Even though the figure is $55.00 they rip you off with the shipping. In total it was $91.00 and that's with the lowest shipping rate SAL. EMS would be even higher.
