New Mega Man Remixes Confirmed for Smash Bros. Wii U

As with previous entires in the series, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U features a bevy of original and re-arranged tracks from various franchises. Now that early copies are being sent out for review, we can confirm 323 tracks will be available to players from the get-go, with at least a hundred more to be unlocked.

Of those readily available, there's four Mega Man pieces not heard on the 3DS. These include , "Cut Man Stage Remix", "Quick Man Remix", "Shadow Man Remix" and "Mega Man (1) Retro Medley." If you don't mind spoilers, check out the playlist above.

Yeah, we're still in classic series territory. But who knows; more Mega Man tunes may await us yet.

Thanks to Jasper for the playlist!

  1. Forget the other series I'd just like a remix from ANY game that isn't Mega Man 1 through 3.

  2. The Quick Man remix also contains Heat Man Stage, simmilar to how the Mega Man 2 Title Theme contains MM2 Wily Fortress.

  3. That's a pretty cool Shadow Man remix. I bet it would have gone to Megaman Universe if it didn't get canceled. Here's hoping there's stuff from 4, 5, 6 and beyond. Heck, maybe even a remix from the X series too while we're at it.

  4. The game needs the Mega Man Legends Apple Market theme.

  5. Cutman's got a confirmed remix as well now

  6. Supposedly there is a retro medley containing themes from 4-6 in there (as opposed to separate games, all three get to share one track).

  7. Shadow Man's theme... at points with the harmonies, it becomes reminiscent of something Super Sweep would've done. It has that MegaMan Network Transmission-feel to it. I wonder who composed this?

  8. These Megaman remixes are all terrible. I hate the remix of Spark Man's theme the most, and it just baffles me that anyone would like that god-awful music. I just want only the original versions of music from Megaman 1 through 10 in Smash Bros. My top picks would be the themes of Gemini Man, Bright Man, Stone Man, Gravity Man, Napalm Man, Yamato Man, Knight Man, Concrete Man, and We're the Robots (Wily Stage 2, MM9). I have no problems with the retro medleys though.
