Mighty Gunvolt DLC Revealed; Four New Stages

Inti Creates has dated the first round of Mighty Gunvolt DLC, Gamer reports. The Mighty No. 9 x Gunvolt x Gal Gun crossover is expected to receive four new stages on November 26th. It is currently only scheduled for Japan, priced at 300 yen. UPDATE: North America gets it on Nov. 28th, $3.99.

New bosses will coincide with the additional stages, including Pyrogen (Mighty No. 1) and Brandish (Mighty No. 7). Elise from Gunvolt and Mr. Happiness from Gal Gun will make an appearance, too. What's more, the DLC will provide an easier to navigate stage select screen. I don't recall the current format being too troublesome... but there ya go.

  1. I guess that's kind of cool. Elise was my immediate favorite of the Gunvolt baddies...

  2. i'm pretty sure he's might no 7 i could be wrong tho

  3. she is no2

It's been officially confirmed for the US!

  5. What the bloody--

Why? No, seriously. Why? It served its purpose, let it die, companies.

    1. Ya, we get it. You hate anything and everything that has to do with Mighty No. 9. Moving on...

    2. Why? Because it's easy and cheap to develop content for, keeps the game relevant (ie. more revenue) and helps with the brand recognition to some degree.

You may not (or in your case, you don't) agree with it, but it's not exactly something to get knickers in a twist for. At least it's not "on disc" DLC like Mega Man 9 and 10, I guess.

    3. It's not particularly that I hate Mighty No. 9 or Azure Striker Gunvolt. It's that I saw this game as absolutely nothing more than a promotional tool. It got the word out about two games people were excited for and a third game that needed attention. And it did just that by letting you play as the main characters of each game going through levels inspired by the games. But beyond that, I don't see it being all that interesting.

DLC for something like this seems like, well... needless padding. Like 10:51 AM Anon said, "keeping the game relevant". And that annoys me because it's like saying "Hey, we know the original games are boring, so have s'more content for this shameless mash-up thing instead!"

  6. Where's the update that puts the dialogue back in vanilla Gunvolt?
