Destructoid Reveals Covers for Mega Man #35

Destructoid has revealed the new covers for the 35th issue of Archie's Mega Man comic book, which is nearing its third year in print. No solicitation info is available at the moment, but from the looks of it Ra Moon will be back in some capacity.

The second cover, viewable at Destructoid, focuses solely on Zero. This one is meant to represent the upcoming Mega Man X sub story. Look forward to it!

  2. As Inafune intended, I suppose. Though... why Zero Mk-II? Why not Dr. Wily's original design? Did someone screw up? Or was it intentional, since Zero had that form longer than the original "round shoulders and buster only" design?

    1. It could be independent from the story. We'll have to see how he looks in the story artwork.

Presumably they're hoping to drum up enough interest to launch an X comic as a separate title. If so, they're probably saving the first game's story for that.

  3. Nice drawing on the cover but too bad that in the pages are horrible from different artist.. Not so Japan drawing style inside the pages.

    1. Sooo, do you think the interior art has genuine issues, or are you just writing it off because it's not "anime enough"?

    2. A few of the Archie Mega Man issues have glorious cover art, but inside, the artwork gets lazy at some points. In other words, there are different artists for the cover and the inside I think

  4. Well, Roll had her MM8 outfit in the Mega Man #1 cover, but she appeared with the original outfit in the story. May be the same case here. Also, Rush was in the cover, but he only appeared later.

  5. Ohh, wonder if MEgaman's pose for the cover is intentionally a throwback to Zero's ground pound. Would be neat if that's the case.

  6. I think that whatever Mega Man and co. find in the Lanfront Ruins, it will leave many people scared, and they decide to have Earth's best minds build Gamma to defend themselves against potential threats from outer space.
