Something appears to be amiss on Steam's backend, with achievements for several unreleased and even unannounced games surfacing on Exophase, a site that tracks Steam achievements. Among them is the complete achievement list for Mega Man: Dual Override, despite the game still being a long way from release.
I won't post the achievements directly here, as they spoil the names of the Robot Masters and other features that have not yet been announced by Capcom. If you want to go into Dual Override completely blind, or simply wait for Capcom to reveal these details on its own terms, be advised that the spoilers are now out there. Major spoiler warning.

Gotta say that I lowkey knew Sweeper Woman was not going to get in if there was at least 1 female Robot Master in the game already (and this shows that there's more than 1 too, and neither of them is Sweeper)

bass is the final boss of the game? and different endings for mega man and proto man? if so, hype
Just saw a short video from ShadowRockZX on youtube about it about an hour ago and his worry it could disrupt Capcom's schedule. I hope not.
ReplyDeleteAt risk of a faulty memory, Mega Man 11's achievement listing order for consoles more or less gave away the weakness loop - or at least I remember feeling that way when I saw it after doing a first playthrough with a friend.
ReplyDeleteI believe Steam lists them by percentage of players completing said achievement instead, but I'm bringing this up in case they end up pulling something like that again.
Mega Man 11 didn't have individual achievements for defeating every robot master or boss, only for defeating 4 and 8

On closer inspection, it would appear the achivement order correlates with their serial number seen how Twinkle Girl is literally on the top, so basically DWN-89 to 97. None of these seem to suggest any weakness order
DeleteWith Twinkle Girl being first and her being the earliest number, they’re probably in Wily Number order (which technically isn’t arbitrary).

ReplyDeleteNot only is Bass in the game... Not only can he be fought (which hasn't happened since Mega Man 8, which'll be over thirty years ago by the time Dual Override is released) in addition to possibly be playable afterwards (as the empty slot next to Proto Man on the official site indicates), but he may also be the final boss on top of the fact? This is all I have to say to that. To me, this is like finding out about King K. Rool's return to the Donkey Kong series after eighteen years.
Doubt it considering there are only achivements for beating the game as Mega Man and Proto Man, no suggestion for additional characters

True, but he may still end up as DLC, but but with a scenario where his story (or maybe lackthereof, like Proto Man in MM9) isn't reflected in the rankings or the achievements, much like Mega Man 10.
