It’s Preview Night at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, and we have our first look at three brand-new figures from Hiya Toys: MegaMan.EXE, classic series Mega Man, and Third Armor X.

While all three figures are still in the prototype stage, they already give us a pretty good idea of what Hiya is aiming for, even if some of the accessories appear to have been mixed up.
One interesting detail about classic Mega Man: the figure seems to be based on his Mega Man 11 design. You can spot the extra paneling on his feet, hands, and arms.
Hiya Toys has not shared any release information for the three figures just yet. More details may emerge as SDCC continues, so we’ll keep an ear out.

ultimate armor and X3 armor. I kinda like where this line is going. doesn't seem like there's any rhyme or reasons for the order of anything besides starting with the main character. we might see armors based on coolness factor rather than simply going in order.
ReplyDeletethis gives me hope for shadow armor, and maybe even CM ultimate armor.
They keep announcing figures, and yet they have not released a single one yet, and all figures coming out 2 years (or more) after announcement…
ReplyDeleteI hope they can improve that
Koto's Sigma model kit started shipping a few days ago.
DeleteI just finished my Koto Sigma build, and it is kind of a disappointment. The cape is horrible, even after I painted it purple on the inside. The brown plastic used for the boots is really cheap and brittle. None of the hands are fully color-accurate, with two pairs having red inserts for some of those details, but all 8 hands are missing red details on the fingers, and half of the hands are just completely white. I spent a lot of time on gate-processing, and everything fits together nicely, but some of the gates are in really unfriendly places where it's hard to line-up a knife or cutters for a flush cut. The Maverick tampo on the chest is nice, but they did a terrible job cutting that chest piece out at the factory, so I have a gap there. The knee spikes are so huge that the leg range is really limited; Hiya was smart to make those smaller.
DeleteThe Sigma face sculpts are good, but Koto expects us to paint that tiny silver ring around the forehead gem ... which I did do, and it looks nice, but it took a steady hand and magnifiers.
For anyone building this kit: silver Sharpie is a great match for covering the black gate marks left from cutting the silver plastic.
I've built pretty close to 50 model kits from various companies; Kotobukiya kits are consistently my least favorite, and are a terrible value. I keep giving these Rockman kits a shot because I love Rockman, but I'm going to have to stop. Sigma was better designed than the 3rd armor though, so I guess they are making some improvements. MM 11 was an excellent kit.
Thanks for the evaluation, Anon. Sounds like I won't bother to buy a backup of the kit since it's kind of a dogwater design.
DeleteWhile it's cool that they're expanding the line, how about focusing more on figures that Bandai and Koto haven't made yet? Shadow and Gaea at least...
ReplyDeleteAs cool as it is to see companies releasing figures, I'm in the camp just asking where the Legends love is? We haven't had anything since the Sentinel figures
ReplyDeleteThe classic is really damn big but, being the 11 design I'm all for it. The exe is instant and I didn't expect x3 armor either.
ReplyDeleteWill there be some day a company brave enough to make Mavericks?
ReplyDeleteBandai did via gacha in the 90's, but it would be awesome to have brand new maverick figures with higher quality.
