No Xbox version, and no online features? Wow.ReplyDelete
Sure. "Wow" at no online features, but why "Wow" at no Xbox? That version was always the version that had the highest chance of being skipped for obvious reasons. Money doesn't grow on trees. Clearly the previous collection(s) did not perform up to Capcom's Xbox standards for them to make this choice. They most likely gave Xbox gamers multiple chances after the 1st collection to buy the games and Zero was the last. Personally, I didn't expect this to come to Xbox. Anyway, Gyakuten Saiban bombed on Xbox and didnt get the next game so this is easy to figure out.Delete
Does this mean that Rockman taisen announcement is coming?
what's so funny?Delete
I wonder if this collection will be like the WiiU version where all content can be unlocked without net battling a buddy. Its a long shot but hopefully all the cut content from the US/EU versions will be present? I doubt it but one can hope.ReplyDelete
It could possibly. I wouldn't say it's a longshot to expect that. Didn't they do something like that with the Zero 3 cards in that legacy collection?Delete
Not my favorite series, but I'll probably buy it.ReplyDelete
If it has online then you might be able to trade chips. Surprised they didn't mention that. "Gotta catch 'em all", right?
Trading chips is lame. I prefer if people earn them ala Yu-Gi-Oh or any other competitive trading card video game. I think of chips as weapons and spells in an RPG more so than party members, so trading items in Elden Ring or something like that is more analogous.Delete
Either way I will definitely pick up what I would say are some of the greatest and most unique adventure (I don't really consider them JRPGs , it has lite RPG systems like random encounters which are a lot of the time a detriment but it's far closer IMO to an action adventure game) games ever made.
I'm tired of Capcom low balling their collections. I understand the business strategy, but jeez just add another game that's not that taxing of a game such a transmissions or Rockman EXE WS since its going to be on PC. Overall I'm really happy with them announcing something in relation to Rockman exe tho.ReplyDelete
It really is a shame Network Transmission is not included here.Delete
Will the multiplayer functions work?ReplyDelete
I'm so excited! Fingers super crossed for online multiplayer.ReplyDelete
LET'S F**KING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOReplyDelete
Well, we knew it would come eventually, and I'm happy for BN fans. Can't say this series was my cup of tea, but I might still get it regardless.ReplyDelete
All that remains now is the underappreciated gem that is Legends, and the not-to-shabby Starforce series. I HOPE these games will eventually get their chance. 'Though I do imagine it will be quite a while, as each anniversary collection has been at least a good 2-3 years apart.
'Gotta say though, I am very surprised they didn't decide to include SF, like how they did with the ZX games in the Zero collection. Was it a lack of space? Can we expect a "sequel" SF legacy collection very soon? Like how they did with the Classic/X series collections?
That's sort of my take.Delete
I have no idea how they would port SF to PS4/5 without some sort of massive overhaul. It's TOO dependent on the touch screen interface.
Indeed. ZX had touch options, but you could play the entire game without it, although I guess they could go about it that way...though that touch screen would have to be 5X bigger than what we got from ZX's AC screens. Time will tell!Delete
Why didn't you upload the Japanese trailer?ReplyDelete
Didn't see a need for it.Delete
Hey Brian, do you have any cool (maybe vintage) giveaways to celebrate this event?Delete
You didn't see a need for Akiko Kimura, Rockman's seiyuu, to gain further exposure to the overseas readers on this site? Nani? Bakana!Delete
in all fairness the Japanese version doesn't SEEM to have any differences in game selection, the only noticeable thing is the name (called the Advanced Collection in Japan)Delete
Despite BN1 being my first GBA game, I'm not too terribly invested in this subseries but I'll support the release.ReplyDelete
I can't wait for them to clear up the legal minefield so we can get a Legends Collection ala the Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series that's about to drop soon.
I hope they included the removed content form exe 6 for the boktai series along with the denoujuu battle chip that was removed from the game when it came state side. Along with keeping the post game grave yard part for exe 6 as wellReplyDelete
we lost a lot of content for exe 6 when it came state side which made the post game make very little sense.
come on konami let us have a proper exe 6 game here in the states
if thats not the case i will be importing the japanese version again
Personally hoping for three things: 1) a better, or at least cleaned-up, localization (at least fix BN4, that was HORRIBLE), 2) restoring all the cut content that didn't make it overseas (at least doing the WiiU thing where we got all the extra Chips), and 3) please PLEASE don't make the Switch game one of those "half-physical, half-download" things. DON'T THINK I DON'T NOTICE THE Vol.1 AND Vol.2 DOWNLOAD OPTIONS.ReplyDelete
To be fair that read on the trailer like all the games in it would be on the physical version as well as the digital version of the physical in addition to having a digital only release split between 2 games probably for more sales potential meaning the digital stores would have 3 options as oppose to 1.Delete
I'm not thought for that as for 35th anniversary surprise.ReplyDelete
I missed out on the Battle Network series when it was current, so I'm really looking forward to finally giving these games a real shot.ReplyDelete
I wish they would've included Battle Chip Challenge, sure the gameplay differs a good bit from the usual Battle Network gameplay, but I think it would've been fun to include it.ReplyDelete
