HMO Collectibles Teases Future Mega Man X Statues

The makers of that high-end, 1/4 scale Mega Man X statue are readying more Maverick Hunters and Mavericks for your collection. HMO Collectibles' next MMX project looks to be Zero, according to a post on their site. On Facebook, designer Dani Hinze asks, "who wants a Red Robot for Christmas anyone?" It looks like we may be seeing this one by the holidays.

Further, Hinze says "we have big plans for this universe of Maverick Hunters and Mavericks can't forget the villains and you will be seeing some next year."

My, oh my. That's quite the tease, isn't it? Which characters are you hoping to see? Personally, I'd like to see someone that's not Sigma. Or at least a statue of one of Sigma's many forms. I could go for that, among other things. I guess we'll wait and see!

  1. No way... So you're telling me the next surprise in the line is Zero??! That's crazy. We get so few figures of him, especially right after X.

    2. well, they never did say that they where planing to do anything else than a stand-alone X statue before, so in a sense anouncing that it's actually a line is a surprise. that they're going for Zero, not really.

  2. i'd like to see Vile. and really if they're going for a vilain, this is a valid choice aside from sigma.

  3. I dig their X statue way more than F4Fs X! Such a shame you can't HMOs stuff in the US from them. I remember asking them with the red X.

    1. Agreed. None of the F4F Mega Man line sits right with me, The helmet and face on classic looks weird, the pose on X doesn't make any sense... and Zero had scrawny limbs. On the bright side, I saved a lot of money because of that. Woo!

    2. First4Figures entire Mega Man line is basically garbage, in my opinion; I agree that HMO is doing a much better job.

    3. Really? The X statue's face was really bad. They all look pretty bad to me except for the D-arts, figuarts line. It's also the only line that has Sigma and Vile.

    4. @ July 29th Anon, I do love the D-arts line the best to be honest. I was just saying as far as actually high end statues go. Funny though how a toy line gets better face sculps than a big budget statue. In the end though, the D-arts/Figuarts line were just Figures & a Sigma big figurine (more or less). I am however looking really forward to the X2 second armor statues they got coming out.

  4. Why figures and statues again ? They are the greedy people for the money. People, stop buying them!! Force Capcom to make a new Megaman games. thats all. Enough with ridiculous worthless and waste figures and statues because those doesn't do anything but stands on the table or something like that. They are not alive! Sighing.

    2. Buying or not buying these, has no effect on getting a new Mega Man game. Capcom is not making these, they just get a small royalty.

    3. I haven't even considered buying a Mega Man-related piece of merchandise for a few years now. The last thing I bought myself was Super Smash Bros for 3DS almost three years ago (though I also have a Mega Man amiibo that was gifted to me)

    4. I don't think it makes logical sense that refusing to buy merchandise will promote the creation of a new game. Capcom licenses their IP to companies willing to pay for that license and abide by the terms; why would they be motivated to make a game at all if nobody was interested in licensing the IP for any reason?

What's more is that I'm pretty sure we'll see a new game (and even more merchandise) once the television series launches, and that game is probably in some stage of development already.

Games are art, and sculptures are art; I like both, and happily spend money on both when they meet my standards.

    5. the statues are not made by capcom, just by company who specialise on making statues, or toys, or figure, etc... they get the rights to make a figure of wathever franchise that seem worth it, or emblematic enough, or that they want to pay hommage to, from the owner of said franchise (here capcom) and make it for the people who want it, that is, people who enjoy buying figure, as a piece of art, or a collectible, or wathever the reason why one have that hobby. it's perfectly fine if people have that hobby. And it's good to see that buisness still consider Megaman a franchise iconic enough to get a figure despite not having any original games in years.
all capcom do in this is selling the rights and validating the product.
wheter or not HMO, bandai, goodsmile or sentinel are willing to give us something won't change wether or not capcom stop treating Megaman like past history, and sadly, nothing is ever going to "force" them to make a new game. i don't know how they charge a editor who want the rights to make a figure, but if no one wanted to make thoses, Capcom would live without it.

    Nope.

  7. It would be nice to see tome Lumine or Gate figure, for lesser Mavericks, I'd chose Blizzard Wolfang o Mattrex.

  8. Wow. I believe that things will change more and in near future, we may be able to see more amazing things like this.

  9. What I would like to see -- if we're going to continue to get sculptures -- is a sculpture representing the classic character pile-up we've often seen in promotional art and/or manuals for these games; it would be sweet to see a 3D pile-up of all the characters from Mega Man 3 (for example), or a sculpture with a mass of Mavericks and Maverick Hunters posing in a cluster.

    1. oh my X, i did'nt think about this, but now that you say it, a group-shot of the mavericks would be interesting, and avoid them the risk of making a single maverick. would probably end up as a very expensive piece, though

  10. I wonder which Mavericks. *crosses his fingers for the stage bosses*

  11. If I hadn't have gotten into the D-Arts back then, maybe this would appeal. But since I have, it's too late.

  12. woaw, thoses are some neat hair. i wish i could grow beautiful long hair like Zero.
As for others characters, well, i'd say some popular maverick like dragoon or eagle, but i think they'd probably go for rivals like Vile, maybe Dynamo.
